Default Dry throat at night/Ear popping

Does anyone have any tips to help with a dry throat? I don't know what it is but every single time that I lay down, my throat becomes really dry, sometimes to the point where I start to cough. I always keep a cup of water by my bed because I'm taking sips all through the night...and its a pain in the ass because I get up at least 3 times through the night because I have to pee. Its so annoying. And its only this bad when I'm in my own bed. If I'm by someone else's house laying down, its not as bad.

Also, does anyone have tips on what I should do about my ears popping? It used to be so much worse but it has lessened some. Whenever I'm standing up, my ears start to pop. It normally happens in different places at different times. And when I lay down my ears pop sometimes. Its just so annoying that sometimes I can't sleep because of it.

Are you breathing through your nose when you sleep?

you could have allergies, or just dry air in your house.

I have a humidifier (sp)...but that doesn't work either. But its wherever I go to sleep. I could be at a friends house, a family member, wherever...its just the worsest at home.

Do you drink much water throughout the day? Do you avoid salt (purposefully)?

it sounds like allergies. maybe you have dust? give the place a good wipe down. does your ac/heat have a filter? mine does and i change it every 3 months religiously. you can air out your pillows by putting them on the porch and letting them sit in the sun. they have these pillow covers you can buy. you put your pillow in it and zip it up. i have some very old pillows i refuse to part with and i use these on them to reduce dust and yuckiness. also, try and flip your mattress and use lysol spray on it. do you use a mattress pad? if not, start doing so. you can get ones with a plastic sheet on it and this might help reduce allergies.

I drink lots and lots of water throughout the day.

Also, I'm not sure about the filters...I'll have to ask my dad about that. I did use to use pillow covers, but they annoyed me so much for some reason that I never used them again. I do flip my mattress about every month or so...and yes, I do use a mattress pad.

Hmmm...allergies huh??? Never thought I'd might have allergies. I only thought you had to have allergies to be allergic to something like pet fur and whatnot. But I won't be surprised if I do because alot of my family has allergies, including my mom.
