Default Olive oil as a beauty product

This might be a stupid question but when using olive oil as part of a face pack/ conditioner/ moisturiser, is it best to use extra virgin olive oil or is the regular stuff just as good?

For me personally, I don't think it matters. I slept with regular olive oil on my hair and when I washed it off, I had super shiney ass hair. Soft too.

My hairdresser told me to beware olive oil on porous blonde hair, as it can pick up a dingy tinge from the olive oil. Never had any personal experience as I never tried it.

How did you keep from ruining your pillowcases?

I put an old t-shirt that I don't use, over my pillow. Plus, I tie my hair up in a loose bun. It doesnt get on anything.

Awesome. I'm going to have to try this. I've done olive oil conditioning treatments before, but never slept in it overnight. I bet that would result in some gorgeous hair!

One day last month K didn't like his hair and he thought my coconut oil was a good hair product, so he smoothed coconut oil all through his hair before he went to work and left it in all day. He looked really greasy and dirty by the end of the day, LOL! But the next morning when he washed it, his hair was so beautiful. He had baby-soft, shiny hair for days afterward.

Yes, I've done coconut too & it leaves it nice also... I switch it up. But I think olive oil gave me a glossier shine.

Olive oil is not supposed to be good for hair color. Coconut oil is fine though.

Use extra virgin olive oil if using it on your face or body.

I am actually kinda privvy to Pure GRAP SEED OIL. Works just as well as EVOO. Grape seed oil is also NON- comodegenic and you can use it everynight under your eyesand on your face...and also put in on your knees and elbows to make them super soft. You can also slather it on your legs in the tub just before you shave to get that supper clean shave that lasts for days

I woulda thought EVOO would be terrible for skin and pores.
But I do know Eva Longoria says to put some olive oil on your eyelashes before bed to make them grow and be healthy.
