There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.
Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.

I like em! If I had a better ass I would total rock them otc.

I want to get them to wear OTC but im only 5"0 so i dont know how good they woud look on me. That chick in the pic is prob tall.

Meh.... don't order it from flirt. Get 'em here.... http://store.americanapparel.com.au/rsac306.html
Black Lame' looks like the ones you posted, but these will fit way better.
I wear mine OTC.
I have these http://store.americanapparel.com.au/rsac349.html for wearing OTC and they look friggin hot, not quite as shiney as the ones you were looking at but still the same effect. I also have sequinned leggings like these http://www.alexandermcqueen.com/us/e...-LEGGINGS.aspx (except not as expensive,) and they are gorgeous on too.
I wouldn't worrk about being short just wear some killer heels.

The American apparel ones look nice and they are tighter looking. I was worried about the sizing with the flirt catalog coz they say junior (3-5) and Im not sure of US sizing but I think I'd be a 2. Im a 6 in pants in Australia sizes - which is a 24 inch waist.

I wouldn't wear them ITC because I just KNOW I'd have trouble peeling them off. But for OTC, hell yes!
I don't really like the ones in the OP, but the American Apparel ones are cute. Metallic leggings are super in right now.
She doesn't have on metallic leggings, but I really like this look. It would be fairly easy to re-create it and make it work with metallic leggings..

I have a pair that I wear OTC for going to bars and concerts. I have a large ass, and it actually makes my ass look rather sexy! I actually bought mine from Hot Topic about 2 years ago, haha.

I walked into the AA store at the mall in KOP and I felt like I was back in grade school. it was awesome!

i dont like them at all. sorry.
i do like the regular leggings.

If you have the body I'd definately go for it. But even a little overweight could look very frumpy, IMO.
