    Default Should I be nervous?

    A little background:
I live in a decent sized town, but not big by any means. There aren't too many young people and in my 3 years of living here I can count on one hand the number of young, thin, attractive girls here. I'm pretty sure I'm the only redhead one out of us too. I dyed my hair from red to brunette about 2 months ago.

Okay.. so I'm at the post office, and I just had on shorts and a tank with my hair up and messy. A guy walks in behind me and apparently he works at the SS administration next door and he was bringing in boxes to mail so he gets to cut to the front of the line. I've only been in the SS adinistration once 2 years ago when I changed my name.

The guy walks up directly behind me and with only seeing the side of my face goes "wow.. you changed your hair!". I've NEVER seen this guy in my life. I work an hour away so I don't see people from my town at my job. I'm pretty good with recognizing faces and this guy wasn't ringing a bell. He goes "I used to see you all the time". I just pretended I remembered him so he would go away. It was incredibly creepy the way he was looking at me and just kept going on and on.

There hasn't been anything weird going on at my house, that I've noticed.. but that's the only post office in town and I've been mailing a lot of stuff that I'm selling on ebay so I kinda have to go in there. Should I be nervous or am I being weird? I looked all around before I got in my car and didn't see the guy and I luckily had to run some errands so I didn't go straight home either. Halp?

I think you have a very unique look (so red or brunette i would recognize you right away). Guys notice girls alot more than vice versa so even if he had only seen you once or twice I think he'd probably remember you. Is it possible he was trying to strike up conversation b/c he thinks you're cute? Maybe he was just friendly, but i definately think you are easily recognizable by your facial features.

^ That's what my husband said too. I probably am overreacting but with some of the stories I've read on here I figure it's better to be safe than sorry.

If he'd invited himself to your birthday celebration tomorrow, THEN you could flip out...

LL, could just be that once a week or something you pass each other, etc.....something where he sees you more than you think.

I see people in Boston all the time from my commuter train that I recognize, but, never go up to them. I just walk by and don't mention anything.....

That happens to me sometimes too, and i find it creepy when some guy remembers me from like seeing me once 3 years ago. Like I took my old car in to get a headlight fixed at a dealership, then 2 years later this guy comes up to me and is like "you have a red volvo, i fixed the headlight on it" I didn't even talk to any mechanics, I said 2 words to the manager and left, and thats not the first time. I'd actually also like to know the reason for this phenomenon...
These days I like to count my money. I like to wash it delicately and iron it. Sometimes I dry it with some bounty to make it all nice and cuddly. I love my money... did I say that out loud?

There is this one guy that I see all the time who I'm sure has never noticed me. There was a point when I saw him every day around campus and also around my apartment complex. I'm sure there are many more people that I see all the time but some people are just really memorable looking. I can see you as being one of those types, you're far from generic looking. Especially since you say there aren't many cute girls in your town.

I'm going to assume it's just because I do look pretty different from anybody else and not be creeped out. I've got to go to the post office again today so I'll just try to go earlier so I won't run into him.

That is a REALLY weird thing that guys do, my husband said that he remembers girls he's seen once a few years ago if there is something unique about them. I'm calm now

Some people have better facial recognition skills than others. Maybe he's just that type. Don't let it freak you out too much.

Some people remember better than others.

A couple years ago, I had some photos hanging in a local art gallery which had a reception on the opening night. A friend of mine whose husband had died a few years before came in with a gentleman, said hello to me, and introduced him.

"It's a pleasure to see you again," I said.

"Have we met before?" he asked.

"Yes," I said, "at a Sierra Club meeting in Tuttle Hall back in 1971."

So, anyway, I think the guy was just being friendly. I think for lots of guys, just having a babe like you speak to them would be a thrill to remember.

It's happened to me and I have no clue why.

Hell yesterday at the vet his tech kept saying "I know you from some place and it's driving me crazy" I have never seen her in my life.

    Don't worry
