Default class is NOT something you buy

A lot of girls in our industry need to learn this.

Few things nauseate me more than chicks who act holier-than-thou because they're making 6 figures a year, yet talk like wanna-be ghetto girls, try to start drama with everyone, and have no class whatsoever. Just because you dropped $1,000 on a pair of shoes doesn't mean you're a "classy bitch".

Sometimes I wish finishing school lessons (or tests on proper etiquette) were mandatory for so-called upscale clubs. *shakes head*

And if you're gonna be trashy, fine. Just own up to it!

Had to let that out. Thanks for letting me vent!

I know two girls who are EXACTLY like that. They are both dancers, with multiple SD's.....(I knew them before I started dancing). All you ever hear from them, is how "classy", "fabulous", and what "fucking rock stars" they are.

I am FAR from being a hater - but honestly, I do agree with this post.....They are "hood rich" - Mercedes, amazing pricey lofts in downtown Dallas, tons of designer stuff but no real savings (I've overheard enough conversations to gather this), and when they open their mouths, it's ghetto slang....

I hope they have a Plan B, for when SD's move on to younger girls, and they are too old to dance. Unfortunately, I don't think they do.

Anybody here taken finishing lessons? I think that would be a great idea. I'd do it.

Yep..you are either born with it or you arent. Has nothing to do with how much money or how many expensive things you have.

I just think think anyone wearing $1000 shoes and only (yes, only!) making $100,000 is a mental midget....unless that $100k is the interest you're making off your investments. They will have nothing to show for it in 10-15 years except a lot of out of style clothes and shoes.

I just feel sorry for them more than anything.

    ^^ true that!

Any of us could spend a grand on a pair of shoes...but that would be dumb.

I have an Emily Post Book somewhere around my apartment.

I remember when I was reading it for the first time one of the main things that caught my eye. It was a passage about how class has zero to do with how wealthy you are and more to do with how comfortable you are able to make people when they are around you. That's something that has stuck with me for a long time.

    ^ Agreed.

Ok, maybe finishing school is an exaggeration : P. But learning basic manners would be a step up even!

Example: If a customer politely turns you down, don't cuss him out.

Another example: If a girl accidentally bumps into you, don't threaten to kick her ass.

    *sigh*

I agree! They could even use that 1,000 on a nice shopping spree with clothes to last a year or two!
Hell, what the hell is the rest of their wardrobe costing them?!?? Their entire earnings?

I know a few like this too. Truly classy people don't need to advertise how classy they are.

Very true. It's like that guy ...the one that says "I'm not like the other guys..I'm a nice guy"

If you really were nice and unique...you wouldnt have to preach it to me!

Yep. They are trying hard to convince themselves how "classy" they are. Sad, really.

I wish I was taught some class. Seriously. I'll be the first to admit it. While I don't think you can buy class (ie shoes etc) I do think you are either born and taught it or you have to learn it. I'm trying to learn that and tact. Shit ain't easy I can promise you that much

Honestly...IMO just the fact that you want to learn it means you have class. And the fact that you have gone out of your way to help people (like me) who you dont even know IRL for no reason other then to be nice....yeah...you have class.
