Default I may be moving to Richmond, Va!

I had a job interview last monday with the Virginia State Police Dept. It's an office position and I'm really qualified for it, so I hope I get the job. The reason I even had an interview was because I'd applied for Va jobs when I was with my ex and planning to move to Va to live with him. Well now, my new boyfriend wants to move with me to Va if I get the job.

Here is the problem: My boyfriend is 19 (I'm 25) and he doesn't have his drivers license and can't get it for 6 months because he got into some legal trouble a while back. So I'd have to help him find a job, drive myself to work in the morning and back home, then drive him to work at night and pick him up in the morning. Then even when he does get his license back, he'd have to buy himself a car.....

While I do want him to come with me, I'm thinking everything through and it seems like it'd be a huge hassle for me. Especially because I plan on dancing as well even if I get the job. (at pure pleasure) So driving myself to work in the morning, then back in the evening, then driving him to work at night, driving myself to the club, then leaving the club, picking him up from work and then driving us home seems like it will be over-whelming. I guess I could dance only on his days off? And on my days off from the day job?

Another thing is, he currently works at the autozone distribution center out here, since we looked it up and there is no autozone distribution center in the state of Va, he decided he'd be willing to work at a wal-mart distribution center....well, I can't seem to find one less than an hour away from Richmond. Does anyone know if there is a Walmart distribution center close to Richmond? If there is one in southern virginia, I'm willing to move to Colonial Heights/Hopewell/Chesterfield area and just take an hour drive to work every day. Maybe that way he could find a ride with someone he works with? Uggghhhh, dillemmas! LOL. Any suggestions?

    Yay for moving to RVA!

I looked up on google for Walmart distribution and if it's correct the closes on is in Williamsburg which is about 50 miles away from Richmond. The traffic on I64 can be a bitch.

IMO, if you're going to have your BF move to VA with you, he needs to get a job around you, not you arrange your living and dancing around his schedule. If you live in the actual city of Richmond there is bus transportation in the city and out to some county areas. If you live in Chesterfield he may have to find a job close to home. (BTW, Chesterfield is big, I'm actually in Chesterfield and only 5 miles form the VA state police on Midlothian, drive by it everyday on my way to work).

You're already making a big move to another state, I don't think that you should complicate it with a BF that can't be self sufficient, and an equal partner. In six months when he gets his license and still wants to move down then let him.

If you have any questions on moving (where to live, etc) let me know!

Yay! That's where I had my interview, the VA state police on Midlothian tpke! I passed by the paper moon when I was searching for a place I wanted to eat.

You're absolutely right, I'm not going to put myself at an inconvenience to suffice him. I really hope I get the job, I'm so excited!

I'm definately going to have some questions for you when I start looking for a place to live. I didn't realize that chesterfield was so big. My ex lives in Chesterfield but he lives close to Petersburg.
