    Default Scheduling conflict

I dance mostly on Friday nights and most of Saturday, while doing an internship as a paralegal the rest of the week. Well this weekend my dept is gearing up for a big case and wont me be available all of Friday and Saturday if I can. Which basically means they will be taking advantage of me, making me do most of the running around and simple paper work. The thing is, Fridays have been really busy at the club with a lot of the college kids moving back as well this weekend there is a big bachelor party on Saturday which means really good money on an already shrinking budget of mine. I just don't know rather to risk burning some bridges at work with faking a reason why I can't come in or miss out on some good money from stripping. I know I should probably go to my internship, but its not what is paying the bills right now.

    couple things -

    1. bachelor parties do not equal big money. ick. hate them. i wouldnt COUNT on that bc oftentimes only the bachelor is getting dances or whatever.

    2. if you have a schedule at your internship, too bad for them. was this last minute? tell them you have another committment and you can't change it this late.

    3. or, you dont dance bc working the weekend for the internship could help you in the future. its up to you which is more important - the long term or immediate results.

Well I would say go to your internship because its for your future career...but I also know that you need the $$$...and I understand that most internships aren't paid jobs, but like I said, its for your career. I don't know...maybe you can work something out.

if I was in your shoes I would say the internship comes first. Especially if you are trying to start a permanent position with them eventually.

Your all right I suppose, I should go in and work the internship. It is a paid internship though, but the pay sucks. That's what largely made me take up stripping. I still will try and get to the club on Saturday though, I only worked one before but I made some good money that night. Its for a friend of the owner so they are closing the club that day for the bachelor party and the owner wants as many of us there that can come in. Suppose to be a lot of people guess. I should be able ot make it work.

Honestly? Avoid it. Do the intership. I can't "count" how many times a club has been closed or what-ever for a "special" bachelor party with " a huge amount of guys " and all the bullshit promises of great money.... when it was nothing but trouble for the dancers.

A friend of the owner is all I need to hear to know that it won't be good money. Of bloody course they want as many of you dancers there as possible.

    Don't be that naive.

Do the internship as at least it is a paid one. The money may suck however take heart in the fact that the bach. party will suck more if you blew the internship off for it.

    Trust me on that one.

I wouldn't think of it as less money, I would think of it as maybe having to pick up a few extra hours at the club on different days to make the same income.

Your right, I don't know what I was thinking. Its just the thought of spending more time in the office instead of making better money. I am sure I can pick up some more time in the club during the week to make up the money lost.
