    Default Shaving the Butt

I've been searching for tips on razor burn, and there have been a few good tips that I'm going to try out regarding coconut oil, possibly deodorant, or conditioners for that... what I didn't find though... for those of you who shave your crack... uh... do you just guess when you've gotten it all? Is there some best way to shave it yourself? I have a hard enough time getting all the hair off my knees... right now one of the biggest things stopping me from auditioning at any clubs is a combination of razor burn/butt hair. Any tips or even if you find a thread where this is addressed? Thanks in advance.

OK. Now I get laser hair removal but in between treatments I find it so difficult to shave my butt. When you do it you will just have to check by bending over in the mirror afterwards coz it's really hard to get all of the hair.

You could even try getting this area waxed coz it really is so difficult to shave. I would get it waxed except Im not allowed to because Im having the laser treatments.

Use a shaving gel and shave each side at a time. Pull your butt cheek to the side and shave it and then do the same to the other side. Also check the top bit of the crack as there is sometimes hair there too. BTW I nearly forgot it's easier to do it standing up IMO.

lol. I do it too. pretty much how Jaizaine described the process. I don't have any problem with razor burn-- though I make sure to use disposable razors only up to three times-- plus I only shave the crack maybe twice a week. otherwise I can imagine it getting pretty irritated.

lolz at lurking men reading this thread: shave your crack too! prevents dingleberries and makes it easier to keep clean! Keep your blow job performer happy and groom down there front and back!

Yes! Everyone should shave their crack. I really don't find it difficult to shave my crack, not anymore difficult to shave than the vag. I pull my butt apart one at a time, and shave. I don't have any probs with irritation/bumps though.

Yeah...I find it a little hard for me also. I thought about getting waxed...are there special places that do that?

^^^Oh ok...i have to look into that and see what they have in my area. That makes me nervous though...I mean, I know the crack is a pretty sensitive area.

I suppose that since I have a high tolerance for pain I should be okay. Now I know that you get laser hair removal...is that painful at all?

Honestly the butt crack is not painful at all!! The worst part in a XXXX wax is the pubic bone area it fucking hurts!!

Now laser hair removal, how can I describe it? Imagine yourself getting burned and flicked with rubber bands at the same time! Thats what it feels like. I tolerated it coz the woman who does it on me ices the area first with an ice-pack and that seriously numbs it pretty good. Then she treats the first area while the ice-pack is sitting on another area.

You can also get anaesthetic creams to numb it before you go. It hurts but totally worth it!!!

Ok...I might just try it out then. I heard that brazilian waxes and such really hurt, which is why I've been shaving forever...and thats a pain in the ass for me.

Besides getting an xxx wax, I'd like to get my arms and legs done with the laser hair removal...and I know that would be expensive as hell. But you're totally right. I'd go through the pain if it means no more hair forever!

For me, personally, the Brazilian hurt the first time but as long as you keep it up, it's barely painful the second time around because all they are pulling up is baby hairs. I went to school for this, and even with the girls practicing waxing me (I was normally the only one who would get the Brazilian) and getting the wax and strips stuck in my hair, it didn't hurt much after the first time. I agree with Jaizaine - the butt crack is the least painful area to be waxed of the Brazilian.

Although when I shave my crack, I place a mirror on the shower floor and kind of squat over it and look that way. My body just got used to razor burn after a few months of shaving just about everyday.

Noxema makes razors specifically for the bikini area. They're itty bitty in size and are perfect for the butt crack! You can shave dry with them too.

I never get razor burn when i shave "there". I always put a cold wash cloth on the area after thou. I find it easier if i squat in the bath and do it.

^ I also squat in the tub and do it. I've never had a problem with razor burns or irritation, I only shave when I work which is usually 1-2x a week. I look in a mirror but I also use my finger to feel and see if I've missed any.. I'm obviously pretty comfortable with myself

I find getting it waxed off Brazilian style tickles. But it does the job right and feels better after too.

Thanks for all the replies so far! And anybody who mentioned deodorant, THANK GOD. I just used regular for tonight and the only red spots were where woops i went too hard against the grain. Anybody have a certain organic deodorant they recommend that doesn't glow?

The feel test helped a lot, and apparently if you submerge coochy cream it's pretty ineffective *duh*.

The red bumps were a huge concern for me (in addition to the main topic, which was awkward and i missed some spots but a lot less than i thought), and I'm feeling way better about this. Updates in other forum sections hopefully within the month. Thanks ladies!

I like almay unscented deodorant clear gel. it's not organic, but it doesn't glow, and it works.

the only time i ever got a brazilian wax, the part that hurt least was my butt crack, and that was also the only part that didn't get ingrown, irritated, and in general look absolutely terrible for a week afterward.

shaving it is a pain in the ass, i agree. shave the kitty, wax the butthole.

I squat in the shower so my cheeks spread apart and I shave from front to back and then start in near the hole and go out to the sides. It's easy to feel when I've missed something.

(Lol, only on SW... I was kind of embarrassed to post that.)

I just Nair that shit! Try taking a big glob of it and just coating your cheeks/crack. It's super low effort - just wait 5 minutes and then rinse it off in the shower. Way easier than doing the whole squat/bend/spread/shave routine, and you never miss a spot! Be sure to use deodorant or some other type of anti-irritation trick - I get ingrown hairs like a mofo if I forget! Good luck!

I personally go by feel. And I'm standing up when I do it. When I don't feel any more hair or stubble then I know I'm done.

Get a brazilian wax. It's really the best way to be sure you didn't miss any spots and you shouldn't get any breakouts either (some waxers are better than others YMMV).

I have a little tiny electric razor thing that works good for parts like that. It won't cut you and it's thin on the end so you can stick it in your crack. I have been lasered but those damn little light hairs still grow back there. Yuck.
