I've been glued to awfulplasticsurgery.com all night. It's fascinating to me that having all the money in the world and access to any doctor and any facility still does not guarantee a good result.
What does "growing old gracefully" really mean? The dude on APS is always calling out women who are trying to nip, tuck, and lift their way back to the way they looked at 25. But then you'll also hear him say that so-and-so is looking old. It seems you can't win. What is the right balance between holding on to youth and embracing your age.
I'm curious what all of you think about cosmetic surgery and growing old gracefully. I suppose this goes for all types of enhancements, not just the ones designed to restore youth. What amount of work or types of procedures is right to keep a fresh appearance? What makes you think someone looks "over done"? What would make you consider work? Do you plan on it?
On a tangential note, it boggles my mind that most celebrities attempt to conceal and deny their procedures. WHY? WTF does it matter? Plus, not that this matters, but everyone is doing it. Why wear giant glasses to night events to hide eye work or announce that you've "broken your ankle" and emerge with a new set of tits? I don't get it. How can plastic surgery be, like, the thing of the moment and simultaneously still taboo?
