...I think it's my wisdom tooth. The one they said was so firmly embedded in my skull that it was NEVER going to embark upon a southward migration. Now, while I pay out the ass for health insurance, I have no dental insurance, and a laughably small amount of money at my disposal. So I know y'all aren't dentists, but maybe someone can tell me:
Is it okay to grow unexpected wisdom teeth without supervision? There's all this hype surrounding wisdom teeth, like you need a dental coach or someone to give your wisdom teeth the go-ahead, or else they MUST get yanked, etc. I've had my bottom ones for years, but my braces were configured to make room for my bottom wisdom teeth. My top ones were, I was told, never going to come in. But here they are, or at least, here's the right one, being all pointy and incoming. Should I rush to the dentist right now? Should I wait? Will I be in pain if I wait? Will my very nice teeth get crooked if I wait? Should I max out my credit card to get a tooth removed because wisdom teeth are legendarily threatening, or can one live a normal life with an unexpected wisdom tooth?
