    Default Hurricane Gustav

I am not on the coast right now but all of my friends and family are....I am so worried! I woke up a few minutes ago and that damn thing is all ready a cat 3. Its not even in the gulf yet and its huge....please every one in the area run!! I called my family yesterday and they are getting ready to run if they have to. My step father is on dialysis and I am helping him make arrangement for treatment if he has to run...he is on medicare and has to make sure any out of area facility will cover cost of treatment. Damn...here we go again...when Katrina rolled in I was up for days glued to the TV waiting for it to make land fall. I am so scared for every one down there right now! Every one send out good vibes....pray that people evacuate and hope like hell that this is nothing like Katrina...

Run run run! I weathered Katrina, right smack dab in the middle of it. Right now I am bawling, just thinking about it. I NEVER want to go through that again.. Much less anybody else. Take some clothes, your pets and get the HELL OUT. PLEASE!!!!!!!!

I've already lit candles for my coast and louisanna friends. Please do your best to keep safe and keep us updated that you all are okay.

I'm happy that this thing will be hitting west of me, but we may get some of the out bands and tropical storm winds, which is nothing compared to what people in MS, TX, and LA will be getting. Please, please everyone stay safe. It seems the only hope is if it degrades or hits in a very remote area.

Not to pile bad news on top of bad news, but it looks like Gustav may be tagging his little sister Hanna along.

I wish all of you the best of luck and I hope you're all safe throughout this. I'll be thinking abot all of you and please update us when you can. I just saw that everybody in LA is getting out and it's a category 4. Please, please, please be safe.

I'm in New Orleans, still trying to figure out whether we are going or staying. This really sucks.

It's strange it's hitting LA again.... glad I'm not in florida anymore. Wonder if FEMA will actually get on the ball this time....they should already be moving down there reading to do disaster control.

That fucking figures. My friend is flying over all the way from Australia next month just so she and I can go to New Orleans together. Oh well. I really pray this won't be another Katrina/Wilma.

My fingers are tightly crossed for you Gulf Coasters. Please be safe. May the levees hold.

If any of you are in New Orleans and waiting until the last minute, please be sure to gas up your car NOW. The oil companies are reporting many stations running out in the NOLA area.

^ I didn't know you were up there. I go up there for din-din occasionally. You guys are going to be getting some storm weather too on Tuesday, aren't you? I thought about evacuating to there but figured it was still too close if I did.

we got everything that can be picked up by the wind and tossed around, put up.

after living through Katrina, we have supplies really well stocked up.

    Godspeed everyone evacuating.

Traffic is now contraflow into our city on I-55....no more southbound for the next few days.
