Thumbs up Rave --- conditioning shaving powder

Ok, I am in love with this stuff for grooming the kitty:

I got mine at Walgreens for a big $2.49. It's actually a depillatory. I have tried waxing, shaving, epillators...everything under the sun. This stuff works the best for me.

I am a pale porcelain princess with sensitive skin, but no problems with this stuff whatsoever. Directions say to leave it on 5 to 7 minutes, but I let it go 10. Wash it off, and viola! Clean, smooth kitty with absolutely zero ouch factor.

    What's not to love?

Ahhhh! I used this stuff for such a long time! I forgot all about it actually. I think I stopped using it because it took so much more time than shaving and I stopped tanning in beds and went to lotions, and that stuff takes the lotion tan right off.

But otherwise, you're right, that stuff is amazing! Some tips:

Soften the hair follicles by placing a washcloth with warm water over your kitty for a while.
While the product is working, work it around the hair follicles a bit with your finger tips, keeping the cream from drying up and helping to loosen the hair even more.
Use the same washcloth you used to soften the hairs to wipe the product off with in the shower, removes even more of the hair.

I'm allergic to nair and veet. do you think it would cause the same reaction?

They make one with aloe for very sensitive skin, but honestly, I'm not sure if you would have the same reaction or not. I'd maybe compare the ingredients and see if they both contain whatever it is that you react to.

Not sure. If you decide to try it, I would do a small patch test first. For what it's worth, I don't react well to Nair either. Never tried Veet.

^This stuff was actually designed for men's faces, specifically men of color (I'm such a dork, I'm all worried if that was PC or not!), as they are very prone to bumps and irritation.

Try the gentle formula on a small area, see how you do.

I have never heard of this - how long do you go between uses? I tried to use Nair in the past, but it didn't work that well. This looks interesting though. I guess for less than $3 it can't hurt to try!
Also, how long was your hair before you used it? Like, do you have to have longer hair or can it be stubble?
