    Default Over sleeping?

I've been sleeping too much. Maybe 12 or more hours a day! What the hell is wrong with me? I turn from being an insomniac (not sleeping for days) to sleeping past buisness hours! I binge and purge on my sleep cycle lately. Is it stress? Drinking? Depression? I'm soooo sick of it.

I know it can be stress and depression. My psychiatrist told me over sleeping was a way of avoiding dealing with life. I can def see how I was using it to do this.

There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.

Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.

Sounds like your body's making up for the insomnia period. I went through the same thing recently...what helped was taking melatonin so I could fall asleep, and then forcing myself to get up 7 hours later when the alarm went off. After about two weeks of this, I was back on a normal sleep schedule.

That was the same thing I was doing. I didn't want to deal with my problems, and sleep was the easiest way of getting away from them.
