Default Why Would This Work / Not Work

Here is my idea. I am open to hearing all pros and cons on this, and will not take offense if this idea sucks Just brainstorming here....

*walking guy to the back of the club where we do dances * (selling VIP's in my club is rare, to non-members. It's $200+ to even get them back in there, in addition to dances they buy).

So this is something I want to use on an otherwise normal guy on the main floor, who may buy a few dances. Basically, I want to word THIS properly:

    "Wanna start w/ 10 minutes?"

Ten minutes is 3 songs at our club = $60 in dances. I think putting it in "minutes" might work well.

I feel like it would be better than just going dance by dance. 10 minutes doesn't sound like much, and I have this feeling that most guys will say yes to this. After 10 is up, you could say....another 10 (or 30, or more). Of course, I could aim higher, by suggesting 30 to start out....and if they say no to THAT, maybe suggest 10?

Opinions and ways to word this are appreciated. Thanks!

it sounds like a decent enough selling tactic. most guys with an ounce of intelligence regarding their own finances will see it for what it is tho, however, since they're usually drunk or otherwise incapcitated... i'd say it'd work 60% of the time.

i like it tho. i'm going to try it tonight. i'll let you know how it works up my way.

i'll be anxious to hear how it works for you too.

^that's what I was thinking. I think it could possibly work better on the random (non-regular) customer.

Maybe I'll try it out tomorrow too.

I like it, though I wonder what the best way to time it would be. If I do 30 minutes the bouncer keeps track for me. Otherwise??
    Order Avon through my website!

I would do it per song. Most songs are roughly 4min give or take.

At my club, dances are $25. I dunno but 10 for $75 sounds like alot to me...Emily/Chrissy/Sapphire12345 where are you girls?!

At my club, 3 songs is $100, and about 10minuts, although you have to order drinks and shit which takes another 5 minutes.

So I say 15 minutes or $100 intead of 3 songs. I do it in minutes because on the floor, 1 song is $20, so 3 songs would be $60, and the 3 song vip room isn't much more private or intimate. so I have a hard time selling the extra $40 cost for not much extra privacy. So I say 15 minutes for 100. Unless they are on the fence between 15 minutes and the half hour. Thn I'll tell them you get 3 songs for 100 or a half hour for 200 so the 200 is a much better deal.

it wouldn't work on most customers, songs vary from 3-7 minutes unless the DJ keeps them all the same length.

What works better for me to sell multiples is offer "deals". Dances at my club are 25, so I'll offer 4 for 90 dollars, 10 dollar discount, and I usually get the 10 dollar tip anyways because they usually have all 20s. I wouldn't offer 2 for 40 though. At your club maybe you could do a 3 for 50, you'd probably get the 10 dollar tip unless the guy gives you a 50 dollar bill.
"Life and death, energy and peace. If I stop today it was still worth it. Even the terrible mistakes that I made and would have unmade if I could. The pains that have burned me and scarred my soul, it was worth it, for having been allowed to walk where I've walked, which was to hell on earth, heaven on earth, back again, into, under, far in between, through it, in it, and above."

It's difficult to do in Texas with locals, but sometimes you can have success with selling time. Like so:

"So, it's $20 a song, or we can do blocks of time. $x for ten/fifteen minutes, $x for a half-hour, etc etc."

Whatever your spiel, just practice it beforehand, so you're convincing when you sell it.

I think it might work with non-regulars if you say something like "I'ts $60 for ten minutes and we can get started on the next song."

Is it really rare to sell a bottle at your club? I thought it was pretty common.. i haven't been there in awhile though. I think that sounds like a great idea, but i would start out with 30 min instead of 10.

That's how I sell dances at my club $50 for ten minutes. works on all the guys coz all the girls do it and they are used to it. you should try to get the other girls in on it at your club and then the customers will just get used to it.

There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.

Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.

Bingo! You can sell anything if you really believe that what you're selling is worth it. Work the "I know this is the best deal for you" attitude and you'll have no problems. Then again, I don't know how your club is, but the idea sounds promising enough.

Let us know how it works!

    I think it would work

it would all depend on how you answer the obvious follow up question which is "well how much is that?" Which comes down to charm charm charm

If they want dances by the song let them suggest that.... I think a 10 minute block is a great place to start.

It's not rare, but it's not AS common on dayshift/late afternoon shift.

After the drama last night, I never really tried it out. Going to give it a shot tonight and see what transpires! Thanks for the tips and tweaking ladies
