Ok, I am so mad right now, I can't even think straight.![]()
Here's what happened:
I arrived at work, and when I walked out onto the main floor, there was a huge commotion in the middle of the main seating area. There was a table there with some big spenders (I recognized the guy, it was someone I had sat with in the past and made quite a bit of money off, and he "makes it rain" on stage, throwing $100-200 in ones up in the air). So naturally, there were a ton of dancers all over that table.
I decided to stay away, and just work on the other customers around the perimeter. Ok - that's the background.
An hour passes, and it's my turn to go on stage. I dance on main stage, and "make it rain" guy sees me, hollers "YEAH!", and walks up to the stage. He takes a shit-ton of dollars (approx $100-200), and throws it up in the air. I'm pretty excited, because the first hour I was there, it was really slow.
About 30 seconds later, this girl walks up, and starts CLEANING UP ALL MY CASH. I kneeled down, trying to talk to her. I asked her, "hey....hey...what are you doing, are you helping me?". She looked away TWICE. The 3rd time, she said, "some of this is mine". She hadn't been on stage in a long time - it wasn't "leftover" - LOL. I couldn't believe my ears. Hers? WTF??? I couldn't get off stage at that point - so I watched her collecting all the cash. I finished my stages, and went to talk to a manager.
I was then pretty much, "brushed off" by Al, our daytime manager (who I REALLY liked up until this point). He pretty much said, "we can't ask her to give it back", and walked off!!! I followed him and said, "hey, DON'T write this off Al...this isn't right". We then proceeded to go back and forth a bit, ending with him raising his voice to me, on the main floor. I was just stunned.
I sat down with a customer that was sitting near the stage and witnessed it all. He offered to talk to the manager(s) as well....to attest to what he saw. He even told me, "I thought she was a waitress or something, trying to help you out. I can't believe she did that".
I was livid. Actually, livid is not the word. I could NOT find her at this point - of course she was hiding. I was shaking, I was that mad. I tipped out the housemom, and headed to the DJ booth. While talking to the DJ, another dancer that has been there 3 years - told me, "Don't ever talk to Al, he won't handle ANYTHING", "talk to Steven". So I did. I had never met Steven, but he pretty much blew me off as well.
I went to the DR, got undressed, and was about to take off - then the DR phone rang, and it was Thomas (a night manager). He asked me to come talk to him in the office. He pretty much listened to the story, but then proceeded to take this girl's side, saying EXTREMELY irrelevant things (like how many 1's she cashed in that day). Basically saying, she made a shitload off that table and just WOULDN'T steal my money. LAUGHABLE!
It got to one point, I said, "there are cameras everywhere, just watch the damn tape". It's NOT hearsay. It's ON VIDEO. Plus, I had customers out there, ready to tell him what happened, who saw it with their own eyes!!! They pretty much blew it off, told me to calm down, and not to let this "get to me". Are they kidding? It's not even the cash value of it....it's the damn principle. Where do they draw the line? That was my money. If someone steals from me, they don't do a thing? I guess this is SC reality, staring me in the face.
The girl (yes, GIRL) that took my money just turned 18, started just a few weeks before me, is completely uneducated and GHETTO. She missed work for a week because she broke her nose (fighting a GUY). Classy bitch.![]()
I mean, how trashy is this??? To crawl on your hands and knees, picking up MY tips? Ugh. Before she walked off (whule I was still on stage), I said, "wow, that is f*cking shady, I guess you need it that bad?". I have so much more I WANT to say at this point, but I'm afraid to even confront her, for fear of losing my temper and doing something I will regret. She is not worth that. But goddamn. I am so mad right now.
Thanks for listening to my vent.![]()
