Im not sure if we have had a poll like this before but whatever there are plenty of new members here.
I only dance in clubs so I chose house/club dancer.
Some of you might do a combination of types so you can choose more than one option.

There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.
Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.

I'm a retired dancer (newbie retired, almost a whole week now LOL). Before that, house club dancer and private parties.
since stripper extraordinaire was not an option, i chose 'house dancer'.

House dancer too.
I think there's one more category. Chronic amateur. At least up here in New England, we have girls that tour around and only do amateur nights (generally because they don't look good enough or can't dance well enough to get hired by the house)

^^
LOL. Sorry we dont have amateur nights thankfully in Australia, fuck that would annoy me having stupid girls like that ITC.

Newbie Dancer should have been a choice
BTW, what is the difference between "club" and "house" dancer?

Nothing. I have heard it be described as both on here.

I am a house gal, myself.
If you are timid enough to stop at what is natural, then nature will elude your grasp forever.

House and I do the occasional PP from time to time
I'm retired. When I was still dancing I was just a regular house dancer.
I checked retired cause it was the closest one. I've been "retired" for a little over 3 months but am seriously considering coming back to the club this winter and giving it another shot.

House Dancer. I started as a PP dancer though.
Some Douchebag: "[Pimp C] 12:43 am: its true we got to stick together the black people on SW CK you is teh condoleeza of SW"
Alrite Aussies....whats the difference between showgirl and feature?? I have heard some of you guys describe yourselves as a showgirl, but I always thought that was synonymous with feature??

House girl, that is all.
I have been retired for a few years now, but before that I was always just a house girl.
Stripping was my Mr. Big....the best bad relationship I ever had.
House dancer.
I’m a semi retired house dancer so I picked both retired and house.

house dancer. will be taking a short break while i get settled in from my move then hopefully i can be back at it.

Feature.

What about freelance? I show up a few clubs regularly, but I'm not a house girl at any of them. Just that I'm not on the schedule. So I put showgirl. I either show up or don't, lol.
^^HAHAHA that is awesome Perry!

ahah that is cute^
I think you'd still be a house dancer though unless you have an actual contracts with a couple clubs and your expected to put on a great, planned stage show and not much else. Otherwise you're a house dancer at a club that doesn't require schedules, like mine![]()
