Thumbs up Rave: L'Oreal Marker Eye Liner

It's about damn time! I bought this little product on a whim... I figured, heck, maybe it will work okay. I have notoriously unsteady hands and I managed to apply it flawlessly the first time around.

It's not sticky, doesn't seem to be smudgy.... (I'll give it a few more hours to really test).... looks and works just like a marker.

I used to use this as well and loved it, but I traded it in for their HIP cream eyeliner which I love a lil' bit more..lol. Both stay on forever though, it's hard to get 'em off.

Wore it out to a night on the town, in hurricane force winds and horizontal rain. A few glasses of Absinthe and half a dozen lap dances later, my eyes still looked amazing and there weren't any smudges.

Yep, I think we have a winner.

Is it a dark jet black or off black? I love felt tip/marker liners but the ones I've tried are never as dark as the liquid liners with a brush.

I just bought the Loreal Telescopic liner that comes with the mascara. It's pretty good but I prefer felt tips.

I bought some of this, but I don't think it's for me. The tip is way too wide to get a fine line, and the product didn't really flow from the applicator well. Back it goes.

Hmm... I'm sorry you didn't dig it. For a fine line I turn the liner sideways. That way the tip is sorta horizontal looking when it's against my eyes. So weird to explain in words... uhmmm maybe I'll find a picture..

Ok..... this is some random marker but it's good as an illustration.

To get a thin line you wouldn't apply the eyeliner like this ^^^ Just imagine you're bringing it up to your eyelid.

You would apply it lengthwise.... so flip it 90 degrees and drag it across your eyelid. Ta-da! Thin line.

    Cool!

I started using MAC's gel eyeliner that you dip into with a brush, and I love the pigmentation but I cannot get a straight line like I can with this type.

I am almost out of my MAC, and can't afford to replace it anyway, so I think I am gonna have to give this one a try.

This one is a felt tip. It's not the darkest liner in the world. I would say it falls squarely in the middle range of the light-to-dark spectrum. It is a pure black however, and I tried two coats today. Worked like a charm!
