Will she just poop it out, or do I need to take her to the vet, like, now?

the piece she ate was really small, like the tip of your pinky finger.

Id take her to the vet. Could plug her up, and that could get nasty.

Just watch the poop. I 'm pretty sure it will come out. At the first sign of not being able to poop- go to the vet. Unless it's a chiuahua or teacup dog. That might plug them up for sure.

she'll poop it out. or if you're really nervous take her to the vet but honestly all they are going to do is induce vomiting depending on how long ago she ate it. and all that is is hydrogen peroxide down their throats then you get a big bill. just a little FYI

i would just watch her poop. if its that small and foam you dont have anything to worry about. my dog ate a sock once but she definitely threw that one up right away

The thing you have to worry about when they eat anything like that (trust me I know from experience) is Intestinal Blockage. So, there is a possibility (small ) that the foam could get lodged in her intestines.

If that happens, she would be unable to poop. So, if you notice she isn't pooping, you have to take her to the vet ASAP. Also, if she starts vommiting, that's a sign of intestinal blockage too...but only if she is not pooping and just vommiting. Watch for fever and erratic behavior also.

If you don't notice these things, she's okay.

If your dog was say a great dane, NO worries! But a small dog, I would monitor your dog for a while, and if (s)he doesn't pass it within a day, call the vet.

My aussie seemed to have an earplug fetish and did this more than once and was always fine. She weighed like 65 lbs though. But I agree, keep an eye on her for a while.

lol. I have a pitbull puppie that has gone through about 100 of them. I buy the big boxes and she manages to get them out of my ears at nite. My lawn is full of neon pink and yellow plugs.

LOL...my pittie used to eat EVERYTHING!! Seriously...clothes, shoes, a whole pack of my birth control pills once(WTF girl..you're spayed..you dont need those!!LOL)
I was working as a tech at the time and brought her to work with me many MANY times to x-ray her because she was puking and I didnt know what she had eaten!
I had to crate her when I wasnt home and at night so she didnt eat anything that hurt her.

But she was found on the side of the road after a car had hit her...and she had a bit of brain damage. So training...not so possible with her. Sweetest dog ever but not bright at all poor thing.
