    Default Dry Shampoo

I'm trying to be nice to my hair, so instead of daily shampooing/blow drying/flat ironing, I'm looking into using a dry shampoo for a day or two in between. I'm surfing Sephora right now trying to find one, but I really don't know what I'm looking for. Have you ever used a dry shampoo? If so which one, how did you use it, how often, and what were the results? I like reviews, so everyone share your experiences please!

I don't actually dry shampoo my hair, as in the whole thing, but when I blow it out and want the results to last, Bumble and Bumble makes a great dry spray that you put on your hair to keep the roots from getting greasy. It comes in different colors to match your hair color....

A cheap alternative to this, though honestly, is rubbing baby powder between your hands, applying it to your roots and then brushing it out. I have only done that as a blonde though, and don't know if it would leave white marks on darker hair.

This stuff works pretty well it'll get you a day or 2 without washing your hair. You just spray it in let it sit a few minutes then brush it out. If you need to touch up your hair with anything hot do it before you use this stuff cuz it's very flammable. It takes the oils and dirt out of your hair pretty well.

    A text I got:

I've tried some very expensive ones from ULTA and Sephora, and they sucked.

The best I've ever found is called Pssst, and it's $5 at CVS/Walgreens/Rite Aid, etc. Makes my hair look freshly washed, and gives nice volume too.

This one is $6.99 I've never tried it, I just saw something similar in a sally's store before and looked it up.

Doesnt it feel weird with powder on your scalp and hair? I would want to wash my hair after that.

I use Klorane. It's pretty good and cheap. I only use it on the roots to dry up oil and give the roots a lift.

I use baby powder like ViolaStrings suggested. My hair is very dark and it does not necessarily streak, but I have to rub it into my scalp thoroughly to make sure.

I use pronto from oscar blandi. I just found out there's a spray version while looking for a lik to post. I haven't tried the spray yet- but am going to soon!

It has a tiny bit of a lemony smell. I've tried the bumble and bumble colored one and psst. This is my favorite.

use corn starch....it's cheap and effective. Baby powder has Talc in it which can be considered canerous.

Klorane is gentle, yet does the most heavy duty job I think. If you have seriously oily hair I reccomend it.

For lighter oil absorbtion, Ojon is good, and also nourishing.

Nope that's never happened to me. The bottles last right to the end. My Mum uses it too and I don't think she's ever had a problem. She's a tightarse so I doubt she would keep buying it if she couldn't squeeze every last drop out of it.

The only negative I've noticed is if it gets in the ends of my hair, it dries out hardcore.

i use burt's bee's baby powder (smells way better than johnson and johnson and it's talc-free) or lush dusting powder in my hair... I have the karma-scented one.

I want to try the T3 Volumizing Dry Shampoo. Temptalia.com had a recent review on it and she really likes it. I want the volumizing one b/c my hair tends to look flat when its kinda dirty. I'm gonna pick it up in the next week or two.

I use the Oscar Blandi Pronto one mentioned above and I don't like it. I think it smells like furniture polish.

I always use the Samy dry shampoo and I love it! The only problem is that it will run out pretty fast. But it's only about 7 bucks
