    Default Surface Piercings

So I've being thinking about getting my nape pierced, and I'd like to know if anyone here has it done. What can you tell me about it? How painful was it? Do you have problems with it now?

I think that I have a pretty high pain tolerance; I currently have 5 small to medium sized tattoos and 3 body piercings (not including my ears).

I was just doing a little bit of research and now have watched a few videos of it getting done, and now I feel like I could chicken out!! So any info anyone has, I greatly appreciate.

I had my sternum and it seriously lasted like. not that long. If you want something permanent I suggest getting microdermal which wont reject. and it hurts- it's a piercing.

i have one. the actual piercing barely hurts. it's when they have to put in the lil stud; that hurts. they say it takes about 6 months to heal but it took me about three months. the only problem i have with the piercing is when i comb my hair after i shower, i sometimes forget that i have that piercing and the piercing gets snubbed between the teeth of the comb. i've had my nose, monroe, both nipples, belly, and hood pierced, and the nape is the least painful piercing of all of them. hope that's comforting

i had corset piercings done. 3 rings on each side of my spine. 6 in all. and nope mthey didnt last very long either. about 4 months b4 2 rejected and the rest looked pretty rough. i removerd them all and now have scars down my back. but my custies loved it and it definaltly worked for shock value. even the scars still get me alot of questions and therefore attention. they hurt like sin but i'm going to redo them asap. pics on my myspace.

I have a nape piercing . I have had it for two years. It healed really quickly I thought. I used 'wound wash' that you can get from a cvs or walgreens or something to heal it. I have never had any problems and it is still firmly in place. However, everyones body is different so there is alway the chance of regection. A great alternative is a dermal anchor. I also have one of these in my 'third eye' area. They have pretty much a zero rejection rate. They are different then a surface piercing tho. It is a single stud rather than a barbell piece of jewelry . Not all piercing shops offer this method of piercing. Check them out on bmezine.com.
I didnt think the nape piercing was painful at all. Neither was the dermal anchor.

I got my nape done last February. I hardly felt it. Then again, I have a very high pain tolerance.

My nape never went through a healing process. I maybe washed it with the salt solution four times total. It got slightly red for maybe a month, but nothing else happened. I still have mine, and it doesn't look like it's going anywhere.

I fucking love my piercing! It's pretty unique. And I look really girly, so it's amusing to me how it edges out my appearance.
