Default Please do not shout at the customers from the stage

Recently, I've noticed a few of the newer girls I work with doing this. Kneeling at the very edge of the stage when no one is tipping/ paying attention and literally shouting at the customers, practically begging them to come up to the stage and tip. This is so tacky, and makes you look desperate.

There are many other ways to get a customer to approach your stage. Putting on a good stage show is one. You can also do a sexy floor show in their direction, while giving eye contact and your best come hither stare. If you MUST, you could even do a cute (but silent) little beckon to them to come to your stage. But please, for the love of god, stop this crazy shouting!

Yeah shouting at the DJ from the stage is a real no-no as well, lol.

Even if he/she fucked up and played the worst song ever, it will not help your money to yell from the stage at him. Go talk to him when your set is over and find out if there was a good reason for the mistake or whatever.

Some DJs are assholes and will play stuff you don't like. Some might have just made a mistake or maybe the song you wanted wasn't in the computer or whatever and he had no choice, or there was a problem of some kind. Or maybe he is guessing at what you might want and trying to please you but missing your taste.

I want to add no shouting at other girls from the stage ESPECIALLY for some stupid shit. I work in a gown club and you think this would be a given but a girl that has been there for 6 years or something yelled that there was something on the floor and someone should pick it up (napkin or something stupid)

c'mon have some damn class people even if you work in a hole in the wall place it's tacky and classless.

Yeah, it's not just newbies, lol!

I have seen many, many veteran dancers yelling at customers, DJs, other girls, etc. from the stage. But they shouldn't. It's not classy, and it's sure not sexy at all.

I don't yell at the custies or anyone at that...if no one is in the club or if its a regular that is cool with everyone and we're just playing around, I'll yell...but not in a way that makes me a bitch.

Yelling at custies won't only make you look desperate, it'll turn them away.

lol I totally forgot to include shouting at the dj or the other girls. The other day a girl at my club was shouting at one of the other dancers from stage (just having a conversation) and the manager was like, fuck, all I'm asking from you is 8 and a half minutes of silence....

Dude, there have been times oil starts leaking off the lighting machine onto the stage and ME, but I still won't yell. I just desperately try to make eye-contact with the DJ or nearest waitress, lol.

I treat yelling the same way I do running - I don't do it unless it's an emergency.

I've seen girls yell from stage. I've seen them yell at customers and the DJ. I would rather the girl go over to the DJ, than yell from the damn stage. We had girls that would also try to wave guys up to the tiprail if nobody was sitting up there also. And NOT in a sexy way at all. This just makes you look DESPERATE. Even worse when it doesn't work and nobody comes up to tip. Totally tacky.

I disagree with this one. Coyly tossing something small like a glove or a bra can be a cute way to get their undivided attention. It also leaves a nice opening to ask for a dance when you go retrieve it after you finish the stage set.

    ^^

Last time I threw something from the stage (lingerie contest at a normal nightclub), when I was young & dumb - I never saw it again. Freakin' $80 Victoria Secret item too. Live and learn.

There is a cute and a tacky way to do everything.

When custys play the stare game at my club and no one's tipping the girls on stage, I have been known to sit on the side of the stage and motion a guy up. It always works, loosens the vibe of the crowd, and brings a few others over.

And if you're sitting close to the stage where my arms or legs can reach and nobody's tipping, I just might bump you with my butt, give you a big bear hug from behind, or smash your face in my cleavage unexpectingly. It doesn't look trashy, in fact, everyone's happy and laughing. It's a fun way for me to break the ice for the guys because some of them can be so standoffish when they first come into the club.

I rarely do a stage show without any tips. I've found creative ways to get tipped without being too over-the-top. It fits my look, personality, and stage show. Thankfully, guys and girls gravitate to my set just to get a piece of the action.

Find what works best for you, but above all else do it tastefully...

I don't shout these days. I flip people off. And I stand there and do it. If they are talking to the point I can overhear their shitty ass comments about me or even other girls..

If they aren't tipping or asking for more and taking the fucking dollar back.

THe middle finger and then the thumbs down is the most effective form of telling someone they fucking suck

I am guilty of shouting, but it was only once. It was a really horrible night, NO ONE was tipping but they still felt like it was okay to stare at me on stage from a distance. It wasn't that dead but none of the girls were making money because it was Douchebag Night or something. I leaned against the pole and "announced" --- "Hey guys, my clothes only come off if I get paid!!"

Hey, I was in a shitty mood.

on my extremely off days when there was nobody around or tipping and someone would THROW me a sympathy dollar after talking shit about me, i have been known to rip it up and blow it in their face like fairy dust. pretty crazy but it fit me at that time. it was in my early days.

    i have never shouted, though.

i can not stand it when girls clang their heels together to make a huge noise to get customers attention. or banging their feet on the stage. super tacky.

i used to get mad and take my clothes off like i was at home, nonchalantly and lie on the stage like a little kid watching tv and kick my feet then do something super sexy.

ughh..i miss dancing. damn marriage and babies.
