MMMMMM sad thing is that I haven't listened to the radio in four years so I don't really know. But Tech-Fest has changed a bit. It used to be great but lately I heard that they have been charging way too much to get in and it just hasn't been as exciting anymore.
I have run into some issues with my music at work this week. The DJ doesn't want to play my music which I was told to bring in - Industrial. I know it isn't big here but I can't use my other stuff anymore. But then he proceeds in playing me Prodigy. Last I checked they were a bit Industrial. He says he knows what Industrial is but I am not believing it because he is still playing it for me but claims its something else. Like KMFDM, I can only use what people know from them. That makes it boring for me. He said to thin of what men from the age of 30-50 listen to. Bad news - the music they listen to is played only on retro night on thursday. Also I highly doubt the mass populationg of men at that age listen to Bob Sinclair or Teisto or any kind of hip hop or pop. So he is really screwing me over. I don't want to dance to shit that is constantly played all the time. It ruins the creativity in me. What else should I try?
Song to Say Goodbye - Placebo and Running Up That Hill - Placebo. I loves 'em. And now that the OP mentioned it, I'll probably listen to Muse - Time Is Running Out on repeat for about an hour. lol

Front 242 maybe? 'Sex on Wheelz' ThrillKillCult? They were a little better known back when they came out.
I refuse to cater completely and spinelessly to the musical tastes of guys who are stuck in the 60's and 70's. I mean we are dumb if we ignore what the customers want to hear, but the customers are dumb if they think most women really want to dance to Bachman-Turner Overdrive, lol!
There's a middle ground somewhere in there, which is where the DJ comes in. Some of them are better than others with it, but it doesn't sound like yours is all that clever.
Oh and so sorry about your kitty. It's been years but I still really miss mine.

SINGH IS KING!!!! (rdb ft. snoop dogg) As I posted in the 'indian music' thread, i've been on some bhangra kick lately... this song ROCKS. it's so ridiculously addictive. Also, Kray Twins remixes have been interesting... wow, I wish I lived in the UK.

I actually used to dance to the Thrill Kill Cult and I do enjoy Bachman Turner Overdrive. It's just that I need an awesome change because I choreograph (dance major) and I explore often at work. Meh. Mine thinks almost all the stuff I use is all underground and it is clearly not. I just don't pick the popular songs thats all.![]()
Yeah my kitty was only 3 years old. He died a few weeks ago of a respritory desease called FIP. Now my other cat has it and I can't get another kitten so we went and got a puppy instead. Not replacing my cat Wednesday though. He was so handsome and loved to cuddle and be cradled like a baby. I've had many pets but he was not a pet, he was my baby. Very much so. Thanks though. I am doing better though.![]()

I am OBSESSED with Roisin Murphy's "Dear Miami" right now

Oh god, not another 'Cebo freak! It's like Placebo is invading every forum on the internet! If I start seeing Brian Molko in avatars here I'm gonna move in under a rock in Madagasgar. That said..."Special K" is actually a pretty cool song. The video makes me giggle too cause when the dude on the table is all twitching and thrashing around, I'm al like, "hey look, it's me!" (I'm allergic to Ketamine)
After suffering two 12 hour drives in which my loving boyfriend subjected me to various extreme/grindcore/noise/hardcore/not fucking music bands (trapped in a car listening to The Locust, barely survivable) and I retaliated with mass doses of various progressive trance and house artists so I'm a little ODed on that end. I've been listening to a lot of West Coast Electro to balance myself out again, especially Ultraviolet Sound and Electric Valentine. Mindless electro-pop that is completely predigested, clocks in well over a minute and thirty seconds, has no serious lyrical content whatsoever and sounds fucking awesome...WIN.
