For me its not just the money thats apealing i also think it will help my confidence grow and i am serious about trying really hard and putting the effort in. I feel i am slowley getting there with him but dont feel he will ever be supportive, i am worried if it will effect my relationship and weather he will hold it against me? any advice would be greatly appriciated .. thanks girls xx

You should ask this question in the life support forum... but I will say this: If he's not comfortable with it now, he will NEVER be ok with it ever. So you need to ask yourself, is it worth ruining your relationship for this job? Because believe me, that's exactly what's going to happen.

OMG - yes please! We got a gaggle of new girls in recently (club is on a hiring blitz) and now our stage and pole is all slippery - all the time! It is really, really dangerous (new girls!) - the club won't pay if there's an accident on-stage - it's all on the dancer. You don't want to slip and crack your own head open, and you sure as hell don't want anyone else to get hurt on-stage either!

Can't emphasize this enough - NO LOTION OR OIL. If you must use lotion, put it on the night before, and make sure that the lotion you use is not a sticky oily one! When you sweat, it'll come out through your pores. Just don't do it.

Water based lotions are the best to keep your skin smooth and moisturized but still allowing you to stick to the pole. I always apply when I get out of the shower to lock the moisture in. My skin stays smooth and I don't leave the pole or stage slippery.

I am going to my first audition today and I'm really nervous!! I am sure it will be fine tho. I've read all of these posts and they are great. I also brought 2 books of amazon and they had lots of info too. So I think I have enough info to get started. Wish me luck!! I really gotta make some money bc i'm broke

Body hair should be shaved! I've been in the biz for almost 10 yrs & have never met a man that enjoys pit hair on an entertainer -maybe trimmed bush, but not pit hair. Sorry, babe!

^ 2nd that. I keep a very closely cropped bush but not under my pits, not sexy.

lol.... newgirl we are the same.... jezzzzzzz dnt know what to do if they dont hire me,.. i will have audition on Tuesday in London... omg! i never done this before but we never know till we try.... I am Asian filipino with dark complexion, black long hair 4'9" 98lbs even tho most people say that will be an advantage and people say that i am sexy and hot! i still worry about not getting hired. unless you are super confident in your own body then we all feel the same, its all in the mind. In my opinion if u get a lot of attention from men in the street on a normal day or on a night out then its no different as a stripper. Men know what they like and what they want and most of the time all we have to do is pay them a little attention and make them feel special and take their money hehehe. Good luck for ur audition, you'll be fine.

    Default something to think about

Not all clubs have a house mom, so some of the creature comforts you may have at your club at home may not be available. Pack extra medicinal items such as Advil, band-aids, deodorant, tampons, cosmetics, hair products, soap, shampoo, etc. Yes, even Fargo GO TO Walmart...but do you want to spend your profits on stuff you already have at home????

It takes work to learn people skills and to dance takes a lot of work also.

Hi all! I have never danced before but want to start. I'm totally new to all of this and don't even know what one does in an audition. Could someone link me some information or message me. I just joined this site so I'm not entirely sure how to use it most efficiently yet.

Sunflowerdream, where are you located? An audition you usually just dance for a song or two at most to see how you move and how your body looks. In other places it can be as short as 30 seconds or it can be just a strip down to see your body.
