So about a month ago I got tired of being soft, weak and flabby and embarked on a fitness and diet plan. I'm feeling great, have intense workouts and am getting stronger every day.
I just haven't seen any change in my weight or measurements. It was likely my diet was the problem, so I got strict. No sugar, very little fat and lots of lean meats and fresh veggies. I cut out processed carbs like bread and crackers entirely, and really only get carbs in the form of legumes and other starchy vegetables and fruit.
I've cut my fruit intake down to 1-2 servings a day to further cut carbs and sugar. But I find that I'm still hungry, even eating a healthy 1800 calories a day.As I write this I'm eyeing the clock to see if it is time to eat yet. I've got 22 more minutes before my next meal. I'll drink another big glass of water for now, to get through.
I guess I'm just whining. I know that it'll get easier to diet in a couple of weeks, but I'm hungry right now! I'm not used to controlling my eating to this degree, and the transition is tough. I know I've got to put some will power into action if I'm going to see results, but I just don't have very much will power when it comes to food. I can exercise myself into a sweaty stupor, but going hungry is so strange for me.
I'll just keep chanting to myself "It's the fat cells that are hungry, it's the fat cells that are hungry!"
Anyone have some tricks to distract yourself from eating too much when dieting? I'm not going to take anymore pills, so appetite suppressants are out (I'm already taking so many supplements as it is, I don't want to throw anything else into the mix).
