I just got back from my first laser hair removal session. Now I don't know why I have been torturing myself with waxing for the past 7 years! They gave me this numbing cream called Lidocaine during my consultation to put on before the session. So, at 7:30am this morning I put the Lidocaine on my armpits and all over the whole she-bang. Then I wrapped myself up in clear plastic wrap like a diaper and got ready for work. At work I had a meeting first thing in the morning. The door was open and noise was coming from the hall. My manager kindly asked me to close the door. And, when I got up, I swear you could hear my make-shift plastic diaper crinkle as I walked toward the door. So I thought. I confided in my co-worker and she said that didn't hear anything at all. Jokingly she said, "But now that I know, I will be listening out for it." Anyway, my appointment was at 2:30pm but I went early so they took me in at 1:45pm. My esthetician asked me how long did I have the Lidocaine on and I told her since this morning since I couldn't put it on at work. She was like, "your only supposed to have it on for an hour or so. It's dangerous to have it on for a long time." These girls were all over the news for wrapping their legs in Lidocaine and going to sleep for the night. Apparently, they had died in their sleep. So, I washed it all off and my skin was so numb that I probably could have had a C-section right then & there, and not felt it at all. Anyway, the procedure was not bad at all. Occasionally I felt like a little heat and a pinch. You could see the little hair follicles ejecting themselves. She did the whole she-bang including the back door. No more waxing! woo-hoo!! Anyway, she prescribed me this bleach called "Even Tone" for my backdoor. In approximately 2 months, all the color down there should be even.
