    Default Breast Reduction & Lift

So, I called my health insurance company to see if they would cover a breast reduction and lift. I have natural 32DD. My breasts are too large for my stature of 5'4" and petite. Although they are large, they don't have that Hollywood breast implant look that sells. The insurance company said that they would only cover the expenses if a doctor deems it medically necessary. Medically necessary? So, I just have to suffer? Anway, I rarely get chest growing pains, only around my period. I really don't have any back pains. I am just super self conscious and it effects my self esteem (which, personally, i think is more than enough for a medical reason). Has anyone had a reduction through insurance? How did you go about having the doctor deeming it medically necessary? Thanks.

I would just tell the Dr. that they are super uncomfortable and that they make your back hurt A LOT. Make it seem like they are the most uncomfortable things ever. Don't really say that you don't just like the look of them or whatever. Good luck!

Wow, I didn't know you had yonkers like that! When mine were DD, they were about 5lbs each. Now, I'm a DDD and they feel like they weigh like 7-8lbs each..

OP: I agree with everyone else..tell him how much your back hurts. I'd let him know that you get this pain on the daily, but that the pain is at it's worst around your period.

I can understand how uncomfortable you are! When I was pregnant with my 2nd daughter (post-implants), my breasts were larger than a DD (and I'm only 5 feet). Not only did I look like a clown, but sleeping was IMPOSSIBLE. They actually stuck out more than my basketball belly. I would complain of pain. LOTS of pain....

At 5'4" and 32DD, they are not too big, that's what I am, lol.

Wow! I would say just cry and complain about the pain and slouch like your posture is getting f*&))d up because of them. I can only imagine how much that sucks. I do hear you though. I dont have insurance now but was denied a claim to try to get my nose fixed (not plastic surgery, i just want to breathe normal.) I have a deviated septum and LITERALLY can not breathe through one side of my nose. No air comes out of it at all even if I close my other nostril with my hand. But apparently, that's not a medical problem .....
