    Default victoria's secret stuff

so what would you say is the overall quality of this stuff (being that i'm not from up there)

i've heard that the underwear/bras are good but the clothes and swimsuit quality is a bit shady at best.

    thoughts?

Well, the lingerie is all made by them...the clothes are actually all different brands that just appear in their catalog.

I would actually say the opposite is true, I think the clothes are better quality than the lingerie...it used to be good quality back in the day but now it's almost the same price as Cosabella and it's no where near that kind of quality!! I feel like the bras and panties get dingy and fall apart after maybe ten washes, and I am very careful with my stuff. (I'm talking about their lingerie, not their just standard plain bras. Those are okay and last a while but anything lacey, I've had bad luck even on things I've spent upwards of 100 dollars on)

    IMO-

the underwear is overpriced- probably because they started with an emphasis on underthings/lingerie but now they've expanded to much more

    Like the clothing items

The bodysprays are higher quality than Bath and Body Works- tend towards "girly" scent formulations, FYI

Haven't tried the makeup items but hear good things

I'd recommend saving a VS shopping spree for the semi-annual clearances (mid-summer and end of year)

I love victoria's secret like a fat kid loves cake! no but seriously i can't really speak about the quality of their clothes & swimsuits, but the bras & panties have always lasted a long time imo. as for their lingerie i don't buy it there so i wouldn't know. ohhh but i love cosabella too.^

I bought some skinny leg capris in a size 4 and I couldn't fit in them for months until I lost about 10 pounds. But now they look super sexy. I wore them to Bru's Room (Pompano Beach, FL) for the Gator vs. 'Cane football game. Super cute. Go Gators!

I have these pajamas that have a camisole and pants in bright orange with peach-ish lace trim. When I bought them, the sales associate said that she never takes them off when she is at home because the fabric feels so good. So I bought them. One of my best shopping decision. These are my favorite jammies and the fabric feels so yummy against my skin.

I have two white man-tailored shirts for work, one with a twist in the front and another with ruffles. Eat your heart out! I feel so good in them and I know that I look professional but still have that sex appeal that other women at work covet. Yes!

I have a bathing suit that looks nice. My Target bathing suit actually fits me better. The cover-up is a short green terry-cloth dress which is very sexy and perfect for lunch after chilling on the beach. Love it!

I bought a natural straw beach bag with multi-beaded shoulder straps. I haven't worn it to the beach yet. My Target straw beach bag actually looks much better and of better quality.

Most of the bras do not fit my unique 32DDs, except for the adjustable strapless bra. They never have my size in the store and only on occasion online. The panties are nice. I actually receive more compliments on my underwear and nighties from Frederick's of Hollywood.

All of the business suit separates that I purchased from Victoria's Secret are horrendous!! They don't fit and do not complement my figure. I just haven't gotten aroung to returning them yet.

The quality is very good for the clothing: man-tailored shirts, jeans, jammies, underwear, and babydolls. The suits do not fit properly, and they do not have a lining. I'm not impressed with the bras (but I have heavy boobs), the straps always wear and stretch out. My beach bag is nice, but I could (and got) better at Target.

I have no issue with their bras or panties, but the swimsuits are definitely low quality. I ordered hundreds of dollars worth on bikinis (expensive & I only bought like 2 or 3, so pricey!) and they looked NOTHING like they looked like on the website. Disappointing! Especially since I bought three of them to use for a vacation.. Good thing I had six other new ones from different brands, because the VS ones were embarrassing. I even bought a bikini for my friend, and hers was equally disappointing, although the quality seemed better.

I bought a few summer tops for my friend on there months ago, and they look nice enough, so I won't complain. I have another friend who likes VS clothing, so I guess they aren't too bad.

The shipping is crazy too....I think $40 for shipping to Canada :-|

I refuse to buy their lingerie anymore. There is no way I'm going to drop nearly $50 on a bra. I can spend less at Macys for something cuter.

    Clothes = poor quality.

Body sprays do rock. Lipgloss in the little tube for $7 is soooo good. I have like 5 of them.

I started buying my lingerie at Walmart because it lasts me longer, looks better on me and is much cheaper. Victoria Secret bras never fit me right and fall apart on me. I always buy their swimsuits though that are a basic solid color and are like $20 for both the top and bottoms and haven't had a problem with those.

their pink bras are shitty. I have one that was hanging on a thread and the straps stretch out within a few months. I love the pink undies though. and the other bras are super comfy and worth my money I think. I also saw they have imported a lingerie line (intermissmi?) from Italy. LOVE IT

Their undies always loose their stretchiness on me. After a couple of washes they just stay stretched out so they fall off me. Not a good look.

I think all their products are great including the Pink line, but I will never order clothes from the catalog again, they looked so cheap when I got them, and after one wash they faded. IMO there clothes are too expensive for the cheap quality that you get.

Their clothing and swimsuits are shit!

I bought two swimsuits...wore them each once...wwhile wearing them, the underwire ripped through the fabric (and i had ordered a size up too).

I ordered three shirts, machine washable. Washed them once, 2 shrank, the colors ran...the other the stitching began to come apart after 2 months.

Wow, I didn't expect so many different responses.

I LOVE VS bras. They fit me perfectly and last a long time. The only one's that have worn out quickly on me are the seamless bras - but thats true for any brand. The bands stretched out fast, but if your somewhat of a seamstress you can always sew the band
Keep in mind that I wash the bras I wear maybe 1x a month. I won't wear the same bra 2 days in a row because the oils from your body stretch out the bra and 'airing' it out dries out the oils, slowing down the deterioration.

The panty quality is normal. The cotton fades after a few dozen washes and the mesh panties seem to last forever. I've never had any of their panties unravel or fall apart.

Their corsets have fallen apart on me. DOn't expect to be able to lace them up TIGHT or a hook and eye will fall off the item.

I can't speak for their clothing or swimsuits, I only spend large amounts of money on lingerie.

You can also prevent early deterioration of lingerie by washing in a lingerie bag on delicate setting in cold water. Hand washing is even better! And NEVER put lingerie in the dryer - always lay out to dry.

    Hope that helps

I don't really like the clothes anymore. I bought a pair of those butt lift jeans and they're crap. Not worth the hype. The clothes are all different brands made everywhere and marketed under the VS name. I'm sticking to Guess and Bebe for the majority of my wardrobe.

my mom has ordered stuff from the catalog & it always is shitty quality. the pants run really short & funky shaped.

i am a 32A & can't even fit into their 32A bras. they're shaped weird. + they don't even carry anything for small sizes except their pink line. sometimes when i am in a rush for work & need a new thong or bottoms to go with something i bought i'll hit up the store, & then i'm always so mad that i spent 16 bucks on a thong.

I had asked this in another thread but got no answer- which of their pushup bras work best and look the best? I hate the ones that are stiff and have that cone look under a shirt.

I don't buy the clothes, but I love the shoes. If you watch the site carefully after a while almost all the shoes will go on sale. Their Beauty Rush line is great too.

^^^The very sexy push up bra works the best for giving you the most cleavage (there's gel padding in it).

I LOVE VICTORIAS SECRET! I haven't had any issues with anything I've ever purchased there. The very sexy hairspray smells like perfume, their body products are great, I don't buy lacey lingerie so I can't speak on that but anything from their Pink line is fantastic. I just came from there, I bought 5 pairs of Pink brand panties (5 for $25), some "boyfriend fit" Pink brand sweatpants and the hoodie to match. I'm a VS whore. LOL
