    Default Dance vs striptease

Very simple back to basics post. Which word do you think is better to use when selling a lap dance?
    Dance or striptease
Do you think expectations will change depending on which is used? Will one attract certain customers over others? Or does it make no difference?

I have never asked a customer "Do you want a striptease?" It may be something new. I will try it and get back to you.

I find I have the most success when I don't use the word "dance". I'll say things like "Let's take this upstairs" or "I'm ready to get naked for you."

I've never thought of using "striptease" before but a good number of my custies want to cuddle/talk and the word "striptease" might throw them off I would think?

I dont think saying dance is a good idea either (there are other threads on this topic of not using the word dance). I usually say "do u want to go to a private booth with me?".

There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.

Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.

I've never referred to it as a striptease. It sounds kinda...90's ish, I dunno.

thanks for the opinions so far.
My boss seems dead set on making us refer to the nude dance as a "full striptease"!

Striptease sounds more like an air-dance... most people know what you mean by a "dance", but I think striptease would be confusing. It makes me think of someone standing three feet away and slowly peeling off clothing, maybe gyrating a bit.

Why does your boss want you to say striptease, anyway? Classier?

Oh, I do say a lot dance when I sell, because most everything else I say (have some fun, go to the back, do sexxy-time, etc), is met by a stupid, drunken, "huuuh?".

Avoiding the word dance is a good idea but striptease brings to mind a stage show instead of a private dance.

Took the words right out of my mouth even the stupid, drunken "huh?" is a regular response for anything other than 'dance' at my club

I say "want to come play with me?" got it off here. I also use the term "lapdance" over "private dance" and sometimes I say I'm doing "private shows in the back" and would they like one?
