Default Let's go on a SHOPPING SPREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

In my 25 years so far, I've never gone on a shopping spree. I've gone, and spend some nice change (in my opinion lol) but I've never went on a real deal shopping spree. How much was the most expensive shopping spree you've ever gone on?

p.s. I wanna buy a coat like this for fall. http://www1.macys.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=326624&CategoryID=35227&LinkType=Eve rGreen
p.s.s. You are welcome to post outfits/clothes you like. This is our shopping spree!

I want a coat like that too!

I can never find things I like enough to buy in one go so spree-ing is kindda hard for me. I've easily spent a few hundred on clothes before at multiple places but I consider a spree like closer to a grand or a shit ton of items.

I've been there a few times. Maybe one day I'll be able to afford a real deal shopping spree there..but boy I can only imagine how expensive it was! Did you have to save for a while? Or did you put it all on plastic?

Those thigh highs are fucking hot. I have a weakness for them. I got one for Xmas and I plan to buy two this winter. Even when paired with sexy jeans, you'll be breaking quite a few necks for sure.

I've only spent a few hundred at a time, actually, I think I spent just under $400 in one trip last fall, but that included an expensive pair of Joe's jeans.

I could drop serious change at Nordstroms - that's my happy place. I also like Ron Hermans a lot, when I'm in LA or Las Vegas. I think I could easily find $5,000 of stuff to buy there.

I don't go shopping very much, so when I do I tend to blow thousands. I probably only do one shop a season though.

I spend way too much money in airports. I was at Singapore airport for three hours in July and spent like $4000. But I was buying purses and like a years supply of MAC (It's heaps cheaper than Australia), and congnac and shizzle.

CK, are you near any outlet malls? Knowing I'm getting a good deal always eases my "spree" guilt. Even if you have to travel a bit , it can totally be worth it if you can find a good outlet with kick ass stores like Coach, Dooney & Bourke, Saks, etc. There always tons of hotels within walking distance to the stores. Hell, come down here! I'm smack dab in the middle of Outlet City.

Well, the only good one I can think off top of my head is in Jeffersonville. You remember where that is right? They have a TON of shops. Nine West, Coach, Nautica, Liz Claiborne, etc.

There is also one outside Cleveland in Lodi. I've only driven past that one.

Yeah, I love NC. I never went to their outlets though. Now, I wanna start saving up a little shopping spree envelope so I can spend $3K like some of you girls.

CK, I saw a jacket similar to the one you posted @ H&M for about $40. I wanna get one in red... I'm trying to keep the shopping sprees on the cheaper side now.

Well, I bought two purses, a pair of shoes, and a hat in Vegas over two days. Does that count? All totaled more than $3k. Then I came home and swore off shopping for the rest of the year.

oh, and when people try to ask how much something costs I avoid the question. Usually something like this:

    "How much were your shoes?"
"Girl, I bought them at Saks. They were expensive."

End of story. I see no reason to tell anyone what I paid for my shoes, bag, clothing, etc., unless they are in the market for something similar and have a reason to want to know.

lol. I went on a shopping spree a few weeks ago while in NY. I had to buy luggage to get all the stuff I bought home! LOL.

When I did porn I went on major "sprees" almost weekly $1000+.... gee, look where that got me. Had I just saved......

I spent $900 on a couch and loveseat last fall. About the same on my living room furniture on another occasion, $1300 on my desktop computer a couple years ago, and $800 on the laptop I bought in August. That's about it. I don't know if that really counts.

Though, when I was 24, I inherited $20K from a great uncle who passed away. At the time, my roommate had moved out and I literally only had a twin bed, a $10 lamp and a clock. Not one stick of furniture otherwise, not even dishes or silverwear, I used paper plates and plastic forks. I bought a computer ($3K) and peripherals ($1500), bedroom furniture ($2000), living room furniture and TV ($2000) and things like dishes and glasses and so on. I did that all in the course of about a month.

That was a lot of fun. And you know, I still have my bedroom furniture and my TV. I had that computer for YEARS and I can credit it in very large part for my career. I only replaced the couch a year ago. I hope Uncle Russ looks down and thinks I made good decisions.

Not much really. I used to drop a couple of hundred at the makeup counter occasionally (once every 1-2 yrs).

Probably close to $200 on clothes once every couple of years.

Around Christmas more, but that's for other people.

You girls are making me paraniod. I swear, we have a good income, but I get $60/week. That covers hair, nails, makeup, clothes and anything extra I want. It's supposed to be weekly but I really only get it 2-3 times a month.

Is this not reasonable? We have an income well into the 6 figure range and spend less than most people I know who make like $50,000/yr. Are we exceptionally miserly?
