    Default Sweating?

Recently I've started sweating more than normal. I'm not sure why and it's getting embarassing to have to hold a certain position while sitting in class because I've sweat through the underarms of my t-shirt. I've tried changing antiperspirants, moving up to the clinical strength ones but it's not helping much.

    Help?

Maybe it's the material in the shirt. "man made" materials give me nasty arm pit stains..it's so embarassing.

I've been using mitchum and all of a sudden it's not stopping the BO. I'm not usually a smelly person even when I sweat but last night in class I noticed it...very weird.

^^^hmm...that is odd, maybe your body got used to it?? maybe try rotating between mitchum and that clinical strenght one?

i've also heard of people getting botox injections into their armpits to stop the sweating completely

I think your right about my body adapting to it. It used to work great. I think it's time to switch it up.

OP is it possible this has happened to you too?

I've switched my antiperspirants around from Dove, to Degree. I was told the Adidas antiperspirant is a godsend but I can't find it anywhere.

And it's not anxiety. I thought it was but after my stressful times dried up I'm still sweating. I wear all cotton t-shirts. I'm just hoping this will stop when it cools down.

I've found myself getting hot a LOT more lately and actually sweating at work. I blame it on my meds though...one is an enzyme and I think its changing my body temp. I've always had a low body temp (normal for me was about 97 degrees) and I was freezing cold even when it was 75 degrees.

Now I'm sweating after one set on stage. Sucks. I used to be able to do REALLY high energy shows and/or work out for an hour without ever sweating. Now I sway on stage for 6 minutes and I have to go fix my makeup. Sucks.

I did just gain ten pounds last month. Would that have anything to do with it?

I'd stay away from antiperspirants in general. They block a natural process in your body by plugging your glands. Instead go with a natural deodorant. I found one at whole foods, unscented. It was made by some French company and cost like $6. Then I discovered that Arm & Hammer makes an unscented natural deodorant which is much less expense. Tom's of Maine also makes a good one. I think they are all gender neutral.

Here is a link to Tom's of Maine website and a description of their natural deodorant:

I've used Tom's of main deodorant before and I still wound up getting funky.

The weight gain probably has something to do with the excess sweating.

You should see a doctor, it could be a hormonal problem. A sudden increase in sweating can be a sign of infection or other medical problems.

I use degree clinical at night, and a regular deodorant during the day, it helps a little bit.
