Default your clubs rules on id's.

    i'm LIVID right now.

so, in my wonderful state of o rey guuuun, last year the laws changed, that we no longered given our driver's liscense, id cards, etc over the counter, but instead an interim paper liscense & the hard copy is mailed to us within 5-10 days.

i lost my id. went to get a new one last friday. they gave me the interim paper copy. i took it to work, as we have to show are id every night, at least for us newer girls, & they said, NOPE.

i guess in my club's contract with state's liquor control commision, it's required that they only accept hard id's.

so i couldn't work fri, sat, sun, mon, tues, and if the stupid shit doesn't come in the mail today, not today either. i'm going out of town tomorrow & working this weekend was imperative to have some extra $$$ on hands while visiting family. i'm soooooooooooooo irritatated. at the very least, at least my airline accepts the stupid paper shit.

blah.... what are your clubs rules???

    dumb!!!

there have been times at that club where they've been swept by the OLCC and then gotten in trouble for accepting fakes from girls, though, so the are probably extra paranoid.

Totes! That sucks... do you have a passport?

I know that in the past when I worked there, if you paid the house fee up front then they'd give you back your id right away. Then you could lock your passport up...

haha... oh the irony of it all!

my passport is in san diego, with my dad, whom i'm going to go visit this weekend, (leaving thurs.)

i also have an old military id, from when my step-dad was on active duty, although it's expired. i could call & see if they accept that at the very least.

that always annoyed me that they took your id EVERY freaking time you worked.... it was strange. I guess they do it in case the OLCC comes in and demands them suddenly or something.

You should try the military ID.

that was the explanation they gave me. they've gotten in trouble in the past from having fake id's, or no id's from girls. i suppose they don't want to risk it. but what pisses me off, is that the state of Oregon, the Police, etc.. all accept the stupid paper id's as valid, but the OLCC can't??? It's a damn state agency.

i'm going to bring my military id, my paper id, my school id.. if they don't let me work i will shoot them all.

my club just takes a copy when I'm hired and then that's it.. never have to show an id again.

because I'm not a u.s. citizen yet, if I lose my id or need to renew, I show my greencard and I have to wait for my license to come in the mail. it can take up to 30 days! which is ridiculous. I had a paper simply saying I could drive. during that time when I wanted to go party I had to always use my fake id.
