So, I put together a web site to advertise my business, but the thing is I don't really know shit about building a website. I did it on microsoft powerpoint and it has animations and music. I also did another one on Microsoft Publisher. I already have a domain name but this is the problem. I managed to somewhat publish or transfer the picture files through the FTP server but none of the text got sent over. The other problem is that on the one on powerpoint it won't allow me to publish at all. It keeps saying Error in slide 001- might need permission or there is some technical error. I paid for the picture on my main page which is slide oo1 and I even went back and undid the animations and timing of the slides and it still won't go through. What am I doing wrong? I'm thinking that it's probably because its a free trial version of the microsoft software. Any ideas here? Also if I purchase the software I need to do desktop publishing does it matter if its an academic version of the full retail version? It says that they are exactly the same except the academic version is issued for schools and administration. I was thinking of just getting the academic microsoft professional suite, since it has everything I need for operating business proficiently, and since I am a student I can get the academic version for a discounted price. Any imput is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
