    Default stripping with a friend

Since my friend started stripping, when we work together I fail at hustling. I just can't get into my money-making stripper personality when someone who knows me well in real life is there. I have to learn to deal with this!

    Any help suggestions?

She also always asks me when I'm working and then she'll say "Okay, I'll try to come in then." I know I obviously can't tell her not to come into work when I'm there, but I really don't want to purposely go in together all the time

I refuse to dance with friends.

if for some reason you have too, leave your friendship at the door. you're their to hustle, make $$$... not strenghten your friendship & make memories. if she takes offense to it, simply remind her that in the club... your about your money & she should be too.

you can also use it to your advantage & maybe do some doubles or something... but stick to your guns. snap out of it.

I tried to snap out of it and I did a bit better working with her yesterday, but about $15/hour less than I would normally make

my best friend and i work together. i suppose it helps that we met in the club, but we've been working together for about two years now.

basically, we just keep a running friendly competition going on. seems to work for us and we have fun.

When I started stripping with my friend she told me plainly that she couldn't hold my hand. Haha. She did end up helping me a lot with advice, especially on slow nights, but she told me very plainly in the beginning that she just could not nurse me through the night and this was a nice initiation into the nature of the hustle and the competition and all. Your friend has to be ready for harshness and honesty from lots of people, so it would be nice for her to hear it from you first. If she can't handle that then she might not be good at handling it in general.

I don't dance with friends unless I met them at the club. It's like babysitting, and I find that problems arise when I make more than she does, I get into a club that she doesn't etc.

It doesn't work so well for me because I'm embarrassed when people who know me see me get turned down, and I'm worried they are judging me every time I fail to close. In reality I know pretty well that everyone is too involved in their own sales to notice much less care, but i can't help it.

I generally work a lot better with my friends. Especially my best friend, we work really well together. And it means there is another pair of eyes and ears scanning the room looking for $$$. I can't count the number of times she's found an unassuming whale and gotten me in with the friend or for a double, and visaversa.

Real life friends are the only ones you can trust. She scratches my back, and I scratch hers.

There's no need to be embarrassed, at the end of the day you're both there for the same reason. $$$. Work as a team and watch the $$$ increase.

Ugh, I feel for you. I made the mistake of dancing with a friend once and wound up spending more time making sure she didnt break the rules, or answering her questions, than I did making money. Plus she pissed off most of the girls I worked with with her attitude, so they all then bitched to me.

If she asks you again about your schedule, I'd just say something like 'i'm not sure yet' or anything along those lines and then hope she drops it.

i have a hard time working if i can't get into character...and i can never ever get into character if i've got someone i know outside of work around.

a friend of mine wants me to help her start stripping. i think she'd make a great stripper, and i'd love to help her, but only at a different club than my home club. luckily, she's a drunk, so she could never work at my juice club anyways. lol.
