    Default Congress needs a paycut

In every company that is not doing so well! They downsize their employees or give them a pay cut. Well our American government is not doing so well! They make decision that sending our world up side down! In any other job our government official would have been fired, yet we put up with it! So I think we should down size their pay to make up for the trillions of dollars we are in dept.serious some of them get paid too much money to be a screw up!

It is what it is, not what you want it to become, that's important -- at least for now. Today, remember that things worth having are worth waiting for!

are you talking about actual pay for senators and representatives, or are you talking about the REAL money, like Fannie Mae contributions, lobbyist contributions, super high paying executive job opportunities in the private sector after their terms are up etc. ?

Also, I doubt that the actual pay received by senators and representatives is much of a factor, considering that many of them are 'very rich' in their own right ... why else would they be willing to spend hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars to campaign for a job that pays less than $200k per year ?
