bring yourself back to the age of 13. that age group of girls like that kind of thing, and apparently it sells.

i would say things that are considered taboo/risky to them, i know at that age i liked that kind of stuff. obviously not those panties, but things like them.
Agreed, weird...
But! I'd wear them to work under a schoolgirl skirt. Haha.

^^ That's what I was thinking. Are these undies from the Pink Line? If so, I thought the Pink line was geared for the college crowd.

Really? I see all these tween girls buying the Pink stuff when ever I go in the VS. I don't think I ever saw anyone over high school age wear that line. 13 year-olds every where with PINK written on their ass is bad enough.... but I think that ass-signage on those panties is way fucking creepy!
They would make sense for a stripper outfit. But if I had a kid and she decided to wear those undies.... *I just got the heebie jeebies*

ahhh i see what you mean to sophia. i think it's because it's the only thing most tween girls can fit in at VS. maybe that's why??
makes sense that it's geared for college girls, i thought it was tween/teen too.
I have definitely seen the pink line of sweats at my college- a lot! So I assume some of the girls buy the undies too? I did always think it was more geared towards college students... but if the "pink" line is geared towards tween and teens....that's fucked up.
Ps. Who wants their ass to say pink anyways? Maybe I've been a stripper for too long but whenever I see them I think of the phrase "showing pink" as in showing your pussy...

Lets pretend it's for role playing...

I just calls it like I sees it. Maybe it is supposed to be marketed to the "college" girls (on paper anyway). But I can say for a fact that I've never seen anyone wear it on my campus.
I just graduated college....... everything PINK sells seems way too childish for anyone my age. The whole collegiate line (with the school logos) came out.... maybe this year... or at least fairly recently. I don't remember ever seeing it before.
When I go into the stores... I see middle schoolers pestering their mothers to let them buy the 5-for-$25 underwear and the little pink dog mascot toy that VS stores sell. Stuffed animals... in college? I dunno. I don't quite believe it.
Creepy creepy creepy.
VS is eff'ed in the head.

P.S. Don't women in college know the wonders of microfibers, space age fabrics, and all sorts of fancy materials to put on their fannies?
Where I come from, cotton undies are for lil girls. And the PINK bras look like training bras.

I def get the ewwww factor. Even if it's for college students. I've never got the whole crush on teacher thing, yuck.
There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.
Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.

Ahmeerah is right, they are marketed towards college students.

I don't find it creepy. I don't see where it's marketed to underagers.
Come bid on my first eBay auction!!!!![]()

First of all.... who is reading something on a girls ass (of any age) unless she's a stripper or with her boyfriend.
All the boyfriends I've had would get pissed if I had "teacher's pet" on my ass.
Then there is the play on words: Teacher's Pet as opposed to Teachers Pet... without the apostrophe... implying teachers pet the ass.
(Also note... it doesn't say Professor's Pet)
And then there is the fact that the design is made of bright red apples. Last I checked apples were edible, given to teachers to get brownie points, and hey... if there are a hundred apples on the ass and surrounding the crotch..... call me crazy... but to me it seems tremendously sexual.
Sexual relationships with teachers... in college or otherwise.... shouldn't be a marketing ploy. That's just my![]()

Okay... okay... oh the lawyers of SW have descended down upon me!
I suspect they market to a much younger demographic than college aged WOMEN.
Plush toys? Come on!
I know for a fact that the only peeps I see wearing PINK products (at least the outerwear...I never ask to see their undies) are considerably younger than college age. Combine that with seeing who dominates the PINK section of VS stores.... I can safely say those are the teenagers.
Oh boo I must have misunderstood your post-I thought you were asking
why I thought it was marketed to teens.
I agree sophia_starina college aged women should not be parading around in sweatpants with "Pink" written on their butts. It seems that here in maryland we're not exactly at the height of fashion- you're in new york, right? Down here I swear every girl at my college comes to class in pjs or sweats looking a mess.

+1. But, of course, that doesn't stop kiddies from buying it. I think, depending on the location, its mostly seen as 'cool' and 'sexy' to own VS anything by that age group. Most girls that age are trying to figure out they're identity as a woman and person (including within the social circle) and with VS advertising being extremely feminim and seemingly popular its understandable why that age group finds VS appealing. Also, the price makes the PINK line an attainable VS item for most people - including kiddies with a small allowance.
I don't see these kids buying panties with "teachers pet" written on them an issue, because they are kids and likely dont take such words seriously. I think that if they start buying crotchless panties people should be concerned.
