Soy milk would be better. Their heart is in the right place, but not their logic.
IDK this cannot be real. OMG I can only imagine the response if that happened.
Yeah, breast milk is just too... personal.
I really enjoy soy ice cream though.

I think their letter was meant to be more of a shock tactic than real advice.

I heard this on the radio this morning. Just....no.

I don't drink anyone/thing's milk. Yuck.
Now that's a classy response! In a statement Ben and Jerry's said, "We applaud PETA's novel approach to bringing attention to an issue, but we believe a mother's milk is best used for her child."

It might be cool for a Mom to make homeade icecream for her kids with her own milk though. LOL I'd probably do something like that knowing me.

I don't like it that they went after Ben and Jerry who try to use organic milk and products. They should have directed that letter to Breyers or Dairy Queen, IMHO.

^^ You're right.

"We applaud PETA's novel approach to bringing attention to an issue, but we believe a mother's milk is best used for her child."
Well, that would be PETA's arguement completely. Human moms nurse human babies. Cow moms nurse baby cows. There's a peice of veal in every glass of milk consumed by humans according to them.
That fucking awful! First it's disgusting, but second....there is actually a shortage of breast milk for babies who need it...that's why a lot of nursing women DONATE their extra breast milk if they can....its not like we're running abundent with it or anything, and it could have a lot better uses than fucking Ice Cream.
And I agree about the shock factor....why not use soy milk?

Naturally there would be a shortage of any milk. Cow, goat, human. Nature intends it specifically for infants. We farm it for a luxury item. I think that's PETA's point.
I don't know how on Earth they could figure out a way to make human breast milk taste appealing enough to stomach. It just tastes like odd tasting water.![]()

The folks at PETA take a notion valid on its face and stretch it to the Nth degree till its lost all sense of reason and validity.
Fiat justitia, pereat mundus.
BTW, while we are on the subject, is it needed to point out the obvious: That it is just possible that if you are willing to judge the worth of someone simply by what you read on a website about them it might say a whole hell of a lot more about you than it says about the person you are judging?

I actually think it's not such a bad idea. It's only for cultural reasons that people have a squick about it, and it's true that the dairy industry is hella cruel.

i think i just threw up in my mouth......ICK!

Stop...enough.
I need a bit of sanity in the world right now not more crazy shit.
I wanna' know what these people are ON when they dream this stuff up?

What's wrong with using soy milk is my question? It's PETA though people, so it really doesn't surprise me they're always a bit extreme. I do believe in their cause but they do take the cake on this one.
