    Default My tummy loves fat....

It just doesn't want to let it go. Its been a year since I gave birth and overrall I'm pretty pleased with my bod at this point(got to lose a lil more body fat, then I'd be esctatic) but my belly does not want to be flat. I can see my abs, I feel toned, but that lil lower pudge just wont budge. I never had a totally flat 6 packstomach, nor do I want one but that lil chub is driving me crazy. I'm cutting way back on carbs and increasing the intensity of my cardio.... other than that, I'm at a loss. I feel like I'm seeing results everywhere else.

I had a friend who said that lower pouch area is called the "mommy pouch" and its actually not fat and has to do with the uterus contracting back to its size prior to the baby; she said breast feeding helps it to go back to its original size and some other stuff . You may want to try googling for more info on that, sorry it was three years ago or I would be more specific.

Honey, I had a baby five years ago, and my little baby pooch still hasn't gone away. I gained a lot of weight though too. But for me it's not so much fat, but just stretched out skin that won't go back. I guess the elasticity isn't there any more. I do crunches on my yoga ball and all kinds of stomach exercise, but it's still there. You can't tell when I stand up straight, but if I bend over or when I sit down and hunch I have a roll there. I know a lot of other woman who also have kids and it's the same thing with them. The only girls I see who don't really have a problem, either didn't gain much weight or work out religously with weights. I too, would love to hear some solutions for this, cuz so far I haven't found one. I know that one member said she did some kind of treatment for her stomach with a doctor in California. Man, I forgot what she did. Maybe she'll see this and post.

If you're doing everything you possibly can and it still won't budge... maybe try lipo in that spot? I've never had a baby, but doesn't it take a few months before you can even start working out again? I say keep up the good work and give it a little more time and patience.

^ She said it's been a year though, I agree you have to remember that belly fat is one (if not the hardest) place to get rid of fat, you have to eat very very clean & it sounds like you do & you do work out, so i suggest you give it a little longer & like Bella said maybe trying lipo (as a last resort)

I've never been pregnant but I have a fair amount of fat on my stomach despite being thin (5'5 115 pounds). I just figure that if I eat healthy and exercise, I'm just meant to have a bit more pudge?

^Probably. Increased stress levels can cause it as well... which the OP probably has unless she has a nanny on call.

^^ word!!! I'm gonna google tonalin, lipo would truly be a LAST resort. I don't have the stretched out skin, the elacsticity (thank god) is still there. Thats why I'm inclined to think that I can do it on my own.

I do back bends to elongate my stomach muscles, and have drastically reduced my dairy intake.

Within a few months, I've been able to shad 6" (!!!!!!!!!!!!) off my stomach. And my longterm goal is to lose another 6".

pure, i am trying to lose that mommy belly too.

i do yoga ball, cardio, pilates and yogalates.

i breastfed for seven months and with each period i get i do see a bit of a difference.

i told my husband that if it isnt gone by june that i am getting lipo.

there is a skin tightening procedure. it is laser. i might want to get that just for the fuck of it.

i have just started using bio-oil on my belly and thighs/butt. i got a few stretchmarks but they are fading really well.

Yeap, I am concluding that mine is genes. My father's side of the family all look like me (hair color, eye color, skin) and are built this way.
