Ugghh! I hate clowns!! So freaky!!

Clowns do freak me out a bit, I don't think i have an abnormal fear of them though, i think it's mostly because i read IT and it freaked me out.

My best friend has this. It's amazing how some people don't take this seriously. I've seen people sneak images of clowns to her just to watch her freak out. That's pretty fucked up.

Damn^^ that is fucked up, my grandmother has a snake phobia (not sure what that's called) but she can't even see one on TV because she will freak out.

Absolutely HATE them!!!
Seriously, they totally freak me out to the core,LOL!
"It" was just the icing on the cake for me,even as a kid I wouldn't go near them,it's like they have to wear a face to hide the evil to me or something.
^^^
Yes! When I was a kid my dad used to always watch that fucked up movie "Attack of the Killer Clowns from Outerspace" with me and it gave me the fear that clowns would rap me up into a cotton candy caccoon and suck my brains out with a swirly straw!
I hate anything in full face make up, or big huge costumes with like their heads covered. SCARY!! EEEKK! Ooo especially that G*d damned Donny Darco Bunny!
Everytime (when I was little) I saw clowns I thought about the movie IT. Everytime I saw dolls at night I thought about chuckie. I hate scary movies they make me paranoid but I can't stop watching them!
i fucken love clowns!!!! the movie IT!!!
Killer Klowns?? Thats a classic!!!! I love it...but yeah..clowns are freaky. When I was about 5 we were at the circus and they pulled me out of the audience to ride in a little train around the rings. I was cool until the clowns came out..then I screamed bloody murder apparently

The actual spelling is "coulrophobia".
I swear that I'm not a complete nerd! I recently learned the word while submitting a four word film review to for the movie "S.I.C.K.: Serial Insane Clown Killer."

Another story about my friend.
She was helping her cousin move, her cousin had some friends over to help. One lady she met just seemed a bit off to her, kinda creped her out but she couldn't put her finger on it.
When everyone left, her cousin asked what she thought about said chick. My friend said there was something about her that wasn't right. Her cousin told her that she was a clown! So even out of make up and costume my girl can pick them out!
In the clowns defense, her cousin explained her fear of clowns and the lady was nothing but respectful and nice to my friend. I had a friend that was a clown and he, as this lady does, understands that fear if clowns is a real phobia and respects those that do have this fear.
I do a burlesque routine where I'm dressed as a clown, (I know it sounds a bit weird but it's really cute honets!) Since I've been doing that routine I've come accross loads of people who are scared of them. Lots of people won't come to my shows if there's a chance I may be doing that routine and a photographer I work with a lot can't photograph me in that costume, even seeing pictures of me in the costume totally freaks her out.
I hate them. dolls are even worse. but nothing is as bad as clown doll. ughghghgh

My theatre professor was a circus clown. I hate clowns. And the circus. She did teach me to swollow swords though![]()

I don't fear them but I fear other things, pretty much, this will be seen as something perhaps hateful or not even sure if even racist but I am terrified of little people, people with dwarfism. I don't know why but once was told that perhaps it was on how the movies has them shown.
I with them no harm at all! but if I see a little person in public I can't function. My foster moms best friend was a little person, we went on vacation to Vail once and we had to share a bed for a week, I slept on the week the entire week and was ridiculed and made to feel like shit, I can't hlep it but no one got me help to figure out why I am so scared of them![]()

HHL:
Perhaps you're not alone...
"The other name of midget phobia is Lollypopguildophobia and it is accompanied by several symptoms such as dizziness, nausea, feeling of sickness, vigorous palpitation of the heart, a fear that you may become mad or lose control, a sort of inability to utter words or think clearly."

See, Im terrified of waxworks. When i was about 13 I visited an old prison which is now a kinda museum, and they has a waxwork kinda next to a doorway, and I would not walk past the damn thing, so I just sat in the entrance while my mum walked about! I find clown waxworks even more repulsive!
I think a lot of people do over use the word phobia. Its like, everyone I know thinks they're arachnaphobic, when in fact, theyre just a bit scared of spiders. Its nnoying really.

*hands up* It's a nightmare. When i'm out shopping and theres a clown entertaining some children on the street I have to get out of there as fast as I can. It makes me severely anxious.
I am terrified of puppets too and I always remember my aunty bought me a clown puppet for my 7th birthday![]()
I have tried to put my finger on it but cant really. I think its something to do with the painted on smile when the wearer isn't smiling at all sometimes.

nope. I was scared of them before I knew about the film so why put myself through that lol
