Okay, I did my whole balancing how much money I need every week to be ok. I am about to move into my own apt for the very first time. My rent is only $400, then my utilities should avg $100/mo. or so. So:
$500/mo for rent & utilities
$200/mo gas (my club is only 4 miles from my new apt.)
$30/mo for an oil change (won't need an oil change every month but I threw it in there for good measure)
$290 student loan
$90 student loan
$82 student loan
$150 internet and verizon phone bill
$32 T-mobile phone bill
$260 car payment
$55 Dell payment (financed my lap top)
$225 in credit card payments
$300 for other expenses (i.e. food and feminine products)
$100 cat expenses (food and litter)
That totals about $2315/mo in total expenses. My dad pays my car insurance so I wont need to worry about that. But if he decides to make me pay it when I move out: I will still have almost $500/mo left after all of these expenses IF I can maintain at least $700/wk. And my insurance is $400 every 6 months. For the next 13 weeks, I will still be getting unemployment checks ($570 every 2 weeks), so that will help me save up a bit for the next month or so.
My issue is....why do I feel like $700/wk is impossible for me? Right now, I average about $500/wk. I do plan on getting a day job but for some reason, I really feel like there is no way I'll make $700/wk.![]()
