    Default Choosing a club..

    Hi all!

I'm new to all of this stripping business, but I've been doing my research and feel like I have what it takes. I am 19 yrs. old and live in Indianapolis, IN.

My question at the moment (I'm sure I will have many more!) is how do I choose what clubs to audition at when I'm not even old enough to go in them?! Ha. I know that most, if not all clubs in Indy are 21+ but you only have to be 18+ to work there. I wish I could nonchalantly walk in the club as a customer and check things out, but instead, I am going to have to call ahead and let them know I am interested in a job. Will this change my experience with the club if the owner knows ahead of time that I am looking for a job? Will I be expected to audition right away? I don't really want to audition at the moment, I am just interested in checking out clubs. I know that a lot of clubs I've drove by in the past looked pretty sketchy on the outside, but to give them the benefit of the doubt, I also know that you can't always judge a book by the cover. I haven't heard any rave reviews about most of the clubs in Indy. Actually, the only times I've ever heard anything about most of them is when someone gets shot in the parking lot.. which isn't exactly encouraging!

Anyway. Any advice would be great!

Surely you'd be able to call ahead, explain your situation, and see if you can arrange a time for club-scoping?

Either that, or show up at the amateur/audition time early, and ask if you can lay low in the club for an hour or so before you audition. Then if you don't like it, you can leave.

I've found that it's kind of hit or miss. Some clubs don't mind if I come and check things out without auditioning right away, as long as I call beforehand and explain the situation. Whereas, some other clubs expect me to audition or stay out. I talked to my mom about though and she told me which clubs she would prefer I stay away from based on her experience at them, which was helpful!
