Default in honor of halloween....what we have all learned from horror movies!

I love this time of year and to get myself and others ready for Halloween and all the horror movies about to be seen on TV and Movie screen.

I thought we could compose a list of how you know who the next to die in the horror flick will be....

and some advice you find yourself saying to the clueless characters in the horror movie.

    1. if you find a door or window open that was previously closed.....get out of the house.

    2. if you think you have killed the monster...never drop the weapon you used, this ensures you will need it again.

3.always trust the advice given by strange elderly people about equally strange objects you own.

    4. creepy little kids in a cornfield is never a good thing.

    5. the bra-less blonde in the white tank top will be caught while running through a rainstorm but only after she trips, falls, and screams.

    6. never pick up hitchhikers in Texas....

if your being chased, dont go UP the steps, or DOWN to the basement.

Really. In the basement or top floor, there is no way out. But you dont realize this until your cornered, in front of a third story window and now you have to jump.

If you and your boyfriend go to makeout/have sex in a deserted place/in a car/during a camping trip/near the prison where the mass murderer escaped that morning... one of you is gonna die.

Thanks, winterrose! Don't mind if I do...

As a person of color, I'm pleased at a personal level to see H.A.A. (Horror Affirmative Action) at work. Let me explain:

For many years, the Black Guy or Black Girl was the first character to vanish and/or die (with the notable exception of the original 1968 version of "Night Of The Living Dead"). These days, Black characters are more likely to die during the last minutes of a horror movie or will survive outright. This trend seemed to begin with LL Cool J calling direct attention to it during the climax of "Deep Blue Sea" (1999), and it has steadily gained momentum since then.

So, my advice to you in 2008 is this: stay close to the Black Girl/Guy in a horror movie, as they stand a better than 50% of dying late--or not at all.

P.S. Also, when you're alone in dark, isolated areas and hear sudden noises, hurry AWAY from the noises instead of TOWARDS them.

If you are a virgin, you will survive

No matter how fast you run.,the huge guy lumbering slowly with the chainsaw WILL catch up to you

If you make it out to a highway and can flag down a car...it will inevitably be someone who will take you right back to the killer

If you are walking in the woods and see a strange dilapidated house all alone...DONT go check it out....a killer lives there

If you are a stupid teenager doing "bad" things like drinking, having sex, being a bully or doing drugs...you're gonna die

They never "really" die, they always come back.
    never pick up hitchhickers
never hide in a closet, you will be found
never ask for directions especially the old man at the lonely gas station in the middle of no where.
don't go looking for your friend that says he'll be right back, we all know they never come back.
don't watch the video tape, it's probably cursed.

Expect trouble when it rains and always beat or shoot the bad guy until there is NO WAY he can come back to life!

Seriously if I ever have to defend myself from a killer and get him knocked out I'm going to decapitate him and then still run for my life all because of these movies.

if a member of your group suddenly disappears for an extended amount of time THEN shows back up.....don't trust this person, they have joined the other side and are planning how to kill you.

Never stay in a motel where you're the only customer. You will die. Horribly, nakedly, in the shower, covered in chocolate sauce.

Don't commit a hit and run.

Just fess up to it immediately to the proper authorities. Trying to get away with it, will only result in you and all your friends being hunted down one at a time.

    Pay attention to strange voices

When you hear a strange voice say "Get Out!" just leave. Don't stick around to try to investigate.

    Don't separate into smaller groups

If for some reason your group decides to hang around and investigate something strange, instead of just leaving, go as a group. Don't separate into pairs, or even worse into individuals.

    Don't drive a shitty car

If you're going to drive to the middle of nowhere, make sure your car has had an oil change, has plenty of gas, and is tuned up.

    Beware of host

If a creepy elder gentleman (ie Vincent Price) is the host of your dinner party, expect that some of you will die.

    Save yourself

Don't bother going back for your friends, they're probably already dead.

If they happen to live till morning, you can find them in the day light. If not, you can call there immediate families and offer your condolences.

    Don't trust evil spirits

No matter how bad life gets, don't turn to the powers of darkness to try to get ahead. You just can't trust them. They will almost certainly turn on you and kill you too.

    Don't ignore public address bulettins

Walking alone in at night when you've heard their is a psycho killer on the loose is just asking for it.

don't feed your exotic pets after midnight, or give them a bath without knowing first how they will react.
