Default Will this bruise ever go away?

So, I fell in stairs about a year ago. (Nobody pushed me, I was completely sober, the stairs weren't slippery and it wasn't even dark. Clumsy me.) I got several bruises in my legs and one of them is still there (it's quite light and about the size of a big thumb but doesn't seem to fade away)! Why? And is there any way to know, when, if ever, it goes away or how to make it go away

I had a bruise above my ankle for about a year and a half...

The original bruise went up my leg a bit and spilled down my heel. Then it faded off to just a golfball size and that was the bit that hung around. It had a lump under it too.

Bad bad bad! - Tigerbalm and massage ect. get the blood flowing through there and that'll fix it. Eventually... Obviously that's not you in the pic but I'm pale as a lily and bruise like a motherfucker, I don't think that helps... at all.

Probably lucky you didn't snap your neck though So meh?
