What where your songs for...
Cutting the cake?
First dance?
Last dance?
Bridal entrance?
Parent dance?
And how did you/they do it? Best vs worse. Good stories, horror... I'm looking for inspiration~

We're not doing any parent dances or entrance music, but we're cutting the cake to Booker T. & the M.G.'s with "Hip Hug Her." Our first dance isn't decided yet but it looks like it'll be "Twistin' the Night Away" by Sam Cooke, and we're planning to end the party on "We Are Family."![]()
HA! We hired a guy to play and he wasnt a piano player we found out..he was a drummer. So the only song he knew was All of ME which I walked down the aisle to!!
This was especially funny to us since in the dinner theater we owned we did a show that hubby wrote where there was a piano player who only knew All of ME and played it over and over til he got killed!! We could barely keep from laughing!!(and no it wasnt planned!)
Our first dance was to our song "You Belong to Me"
The rest is a blur..no idea!
My cousin had a beautiful wedding. I can't remember all of the songs, but I do remember her dancing with her new husband to "Amazed" by Lonestar and it was so romantic! She had this poofy white dress and he picked her up, held her close, and swung her around. I feel like a cheeseball, but I almost melted.
If you think school is hard, try being stupid.
We didn't have a song for cutting the cake (I've never heard of a specific cake cutting song before) but our first dance was "Adore" by Prince, last dance was "Friend Lover Sister Mother Wife" by Prince (yeah, we like Prince a lot), bridal entrance was Bridal Chorus by Wagner from the Longherin opera ("Here Comes the Bride") played on a harp, we walked down the aisle after the ceremony to "At Last" by Etta James and the father daughter dance was "Joy Inside My Tears" by Stevie Wonder. Oh, and we were introduced at the reception to the Monday Night Football theme.

In other words: Boo-motherfucking-hoo
We cut the cake to "One Love" and danced to "Amazed" (I think?). Sadly, I will have to watch the wedding video to tell you anything else. It worked out fabulously, but I got married on a grassy spot about 10 yards from a beautiful sandy beach in Jamaica. The cake and such was in a gazebo right there. Soooo, may be more informal than your looking for.
