During my audition at a club there was a dispute between 2 dancers. One of the dancers (i'm gonna call her Dancer A) confronted the other (Dancer B) about her asking the customer for a stage tip while she was already talking to him. At this club, the stage is behind the bar (which i think is the dumbest fuckin thing...but whatever..) so u don't get tipped at a tip rail or on stage...u have to go around and make rounds to ur customers to ask for tips.
Now, Dancer A said she was engaging conversation, trying to hustle the customer for a lap, when DANCER B comes over and says "excuse me", interrupting to ask for her tip and then leaving. DANCER A claims that its impolite and distracting to interrupt a dancer in the middle of talking to a customer to ask for a tip. DANCER B claims that as long as she interrupts politely, and then promptly leaves, then it should be no problem.
I personally agree with DANCER B, because if you are hustling a guy and he is supposed to be watching the stage, thats rude on your part. But thats because i'm used to a tip rail and a girl would NEVER approach a guy at the tip rail....thats just common courtesy... how else would girls be tipped for their stage performance???
What do you ladies of SW think??
