    I live in NY now and am wondering is there a best state to incorporate in?

    Maryland also ... allows corporations for one single individual, no state corporation tax ...

    Delaware... I have heard consistently through business school that it is the best state to incorporate in.

    Yep, Delaware is the easiest and if I am not mistaken, NY is the hardest.

    Regardless of what state you incorporate in, you will still have to pay the state taxes for the state you reside in. So, if you live in NY and form a nevada corp to avoid state taxes, but you dance in ny, you will have to file another form with the state of ny to do business there.

    That's a great point and often overlooked. Typically, the state you are in when you earn the money will want to tax it. Some states (like California) even want to tax money you make in other states.
