    Default Buccal Fat Removal

has anyone here had or know of someone who has had this procedure?

It's basically removing fat from the cheeks or jowel area to achieve a more chiselled look.

I am 28 and i don't really have a problem with this but can see it developing, also by looking at my mother and seeing we have the same face type.

Usually when i lose extra weight my face will look nice but that hang-down look can really age someone almost overnight. I'd love to get it doen, but just subtle. Either that or some kind of exercise available?

I've researched this but have not had it done. My reasons for wanting it being different, I want to get rid of my baby cheeks.

There's not a lot out there as far as pictures goes. It seems the few surgeons that do the procedure either dont post any pictures or post the same three old pictures they all share.

You might want to look into Facial Flex and Flexaway systems. The reviews on these devices are extremely favorable. Yes they look silly, but hey if it works. I bought a Facial Flex and in my case I started developing strong mouth muscles (think Jean Claude Van Damme). I stopped using it and it went away. But it seems for most people it works well in raising brows and reducing jowels, especially the Flexaway system. I think I might try the Flexaway at a later date (works whole face vs. mouth/cheeks).

DO NOT DO IT. You need those fat pads, because once you hit 40, they shrink a lot and you will look like the Crypt Keeper. They are the only thing that keeps your face looking soft once you age.

Edit: unless you have very fat cheeks... which most people don't. But even then it's not a good idea because you'll need filler injections when you get old.

hmm, yea i don't have very fat cheeks..i dont even have fat cheeks. I just wish my face were more defined in the lower region. "more sucked in'.

I might look at that flexor thing tho and some exercises, thanks. Either that or i should probably do the right thing and lose weight/eat less salt etc.

^ Sounds like you maybe want cheek implants. That'd be way more defining.

not really, i have very prominent high cheekbones, it's just the lower half of the face near the chin, i would like removed or higher, but only subtly.

I think if u saw me u wouldn't see anything wrong, but i guess it's a personal thing where we are our own worst critics. It might be something i'd have to look into 5 - 10 yrs from now, judging by my mother.

^Yeah, get it off your mind! If I anticipated my future appearance by judging my mother......I'd kill myself. Worry about it when it happens. You may not need it.
