If i put my lotion self tanner on, wait for it to dry a couple of hours, then put on another coat, will I look darker compared to if I'd only put on 1 coat?

I look forward to seeing responses too! I would think so but that it could also turn you into a dirty splotchy mess.
It works better to do it before bed, wake up, shower, and do it again.
sometimes i just put 2 coats on at the same time and it makes me super black

personally i think the first time is the best looking. after that it doesnt look as great. for example - first app. girls at owrk say wow you look so tan whats your secret? 2nd app about 2days later - oh did you go spray tanning?
likei think its more obvious and less natural.. so just me, i'd spread it out if i could. im also using sunlabs so i dunno about other brands.
I do this all the time if I've not been tanning and have gotten sickly pale ... I'm not one of those Nicole Kidman girls who looks good pale, lol.
I will get out of the shower, let my skin dry for about ten or fiftenn mins, put on a light layer or self tanner and then do stuff around the house wearing a loose robe until it feels dry, usually an hour or two. Then I'll put one more layer on and voila! I'm ready for work that nightNo skin damage necessary!

i use clarins gelee tanning. 1 coat gives a nice subtle colour. 2 coats gives a beautiful tan and a natural brown 1 at that. probably the best i've used and not too smelly.
I frequently use several coats back to back. It only looks good if you are good enough at applying it to not get streaky. For some reason the 2nd coat is much easier to streak.
dark tans look unattractive sometimes anyway. a subtle healthy glow can be more appealing. it's classier nowadays.
What Jasmine said.
Think too much nailpolish... it's not just that last coat you're working with now, it's like it all kinda comes into play again. (Only if you layer. Not if you wash off in between.)
- But yeah, if you don't fuck it upyou save time and it turns out great!

i've never gotten more than a little tiny bit darker from a second application. lucky girls who do. if it hasn't been a couple days, it's just a waste of tanner for me.

I always use two applications by as VS said I put one coat on, shower the next day and then the following night I put another coat on and the next day it will be the colour that I want.
I dont think it would go any darker because without 8 hours in between the colour hasn't fully developed yet and therefore you wont be applying it on top of the first layer.
There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.
Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.
Typically I take a shower the night before I dance, I do one coat of spray, wait till that dries and about 2 hours later use a gradual tanning moisturizer. I then apply another gradual tanner after I wake up to get a little extra boost.
I only do 2 coats of spray if I haven't danced in a while and am feeling quite pale.
I found that I have to change up the types of fake tanner I use after about a few months. Sometimes it just doesn't activate.
I absolutely love the L'Oreal Sublime spray in medium. It dries in minutes and the color is fab!
