Default Insulting another dancer to customers

So I'm sitting at a table with 3 guys last night. Another dancer is sitting with us. The one free guy comments about how he likes the girl onstage. The other dancer literally says to the table full of guys "She's an ugly bitch". Totally deadpan.

I kept my the volume of my voice normal, but I could not help myself from saying "Calling her ugly doesn't make you prettier. That is just fucking unprofessional. She's a co worker. And for your information, she is very pretty and nice".

She basically told me "Talk to the hand", which clearly made her the winner of this moral conundrum.

Why the fuck do girls do this? If anything, it just made her look like a hateful loser.

She's a miserable person who makes herself feel better by tearing other people down. In the work setting she was extremely unprofessional and really only hurt her own game by behaving classless. What was the guys take on her?

    Your rebuke was perfect!

Is she new? Sometimes it shocks me how some girls just lack basic social skills and sense and somehow decide that dancing is for them. Anyone with a clue should know that saying ugly things only makes you uglier. Talk to the hand? What is this sixth grade?

talk to the hand? ok, thats so second grade. and to insult someone, especially a fellow co-worker to possible sources of money for her, is class-less and reaffirms her immaturity.

Even if I truly dislike a girl, and a man comments on her, I will bite my lip and nod.

If you say something bad about a girl, the guys usually think she must have something to make you jealous. So you just slit your own throat.

I don't understand why girls talk shit on other girls in front of customers. It just makes them look jealous, tacky, and unprofessional. Even if she had something personal against the other girl, she should have kept it to herself.

Did the guys spend any money on her? I always assumed guys wouldn't care either way.

I heard of dancers telling customers another was HIV positive. She even brought in paperwork to shut them up, but it didn't matter. If you saw them, you'd understand why they would resort to such measures. Still got the girl to quit though, so I guess that is how they guard their money.

This is probably my biggest pet peeve at work. Even if I can't stand a girl or don't find her attractive, you won't catch me saying anything but good things about her to customers. It's just stupid and, like you said, unprofessional. Guys come to the club to have fun, not to hear about which girls are "ugly bitches."

Ugh, that's so classless. Even if you personally dont like a girl, the customer does, and ultimately thats what counts.

Even if girls are mean to me, I just tell myself we are all there for the same reason, and it's better to handle it with grace.

Telling someone another dancer is HIV positive? That is sooo low!! I know that if one dancer talks trash about another, it's free advertising, but that had to hurt her game, plus why would anyone ever do that? I wouldn't wish HIV on my worst enemy, and to tell someone that, true or not, is just horrible. I hope karma kicks that person's ass.

Management didn't do anything about it really, even after she bought proof of her status because it was hurting her money. They still did not let up. So she left that club and came to the one I worked at. The sad thing is it worked out for the ugly hating bitches because their main competition left like they wanted her to. They probably do it all the time to run newbies off.

^ a dried up alcoholic lifer once spit a tuna salad sandwich all over me when I was a newbie dancer, because all her customers were switching over to me. She shoved me against the lockers, too, and no one did anything about it because it was a dive and she had been there for something like 10 years. I was a NEW dancer, like I had just turned 18 and it was my first club. She was so horrible. I'll always remember that girl - Willow. I once was blow drying a clean g-string in the dressing room, and she announced loudly to everyone "It smells like rotten pussy in here" I was so humiliated. I hadn't gotten tough yet.

    Girls can be awful.

    That happened to me.

I was on stage and at this club the girls did not like me. There were two guys in the club and they were at my rail. A girl told them I have HIV. So, when I get off stage the guys ask me. I was like uhm, no I dont have HIV and they spent their money on me. Guess her plan didnt work well but I did quit shortly after... I cant deal with that much hostility.

What really got me to quit was when I was in the bathroom and this girl was talking about how she escorts and this guy pays her just to come over and do drugs. I was like oh - she then tried to recruit me and I was like uhm, I dont do drugs or escort. No thanks. So she goes into the dr and tells the girls I called her a drugged out whore and they all ganged up on me. I was like wtf?

That club - which is now the DejaVu in Sacramento is just drama bitch central. Im shocked I lasted the 3 months I was there.

To the OP. I dont understand why girls do this either. It makes you look so bad to the guys....

    * You demean yourself when you cut others down like that.

    * You also HELP the girl you're shit talking! You're basically telling the customer NO, and people always want what they can't have.

Sometimes I wish I were the type that other girls love to trash talk, hahaha. $$$

i've had dancers do that stuff to me alot too. One was an alcoholic and shed get drunk and scream mean stuffat me while i was onstage i out lasted her at the club but management wouldn't fire her cause they felt bad for her, they did put her on a short leash though. We even had a road girl come in and tell all of the customers what rednecks we all are which backfired because by calling us rednecks she was calling them rednecks too lol. i think its horrible to talk bad about dancers. We get guys in our club sometimes that try to et you to they'll say things like "you know your so much prettier than her" or talk shit on em. I always come back with "i feel all of our dancers are beautiful and just because all of or dancers are not traditional doesn't mean they arent good at they're jobs. Maybe you should go tip her a dollar let you see why she works here" One of the best earners at our club is a nontraditional dancer because shes nice to the customers and has an awesome energy whe she dances.

I don't know if you were looking for a literal answer to this or not viola, but really, there could have been a lot of things going on in her head. She couldv'e had a really bad day, or maybe overheard that girl saying something not so nice about her, or maybe she lost a customer to her.

I mean either which way what she did was a negative way of expressing her anger or pain and she couldv'e found a better way to express herself.... yet haven't we all said things that we didn't mean just to lash out our pain or anger?

It's way stupid, but it's human. I think it's cool that you stood up for the other girl and didn't let her get away with saying it tho. Too bad she didn't get it.

When I started dancing there was a couple of girls who were just plain haters. Sometimes I would dance on the stage and I can see them sitting with the customers talking about me, even pointing fingers at me. They would always sit in the dressing room talking shit about others, and complaining that they don't make any money (ugh, wonder why). Funny, they never insulted me to my face.
Sometimes I lie awake at night, and I ask, 'Where have I gone wrong?' Then a voice says to me, "This is going to take more than one night."

It doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out that girls trashtalking other girls looks bad to the customers. But out of curiosity what about girls that trashtalk other customers, does it look as bad or not so? e.g. gossiping to someone about what a drunk a-hole another guy within eyesight is

I don't think any of us, even the rudest of us, would stand near a guy and talk about him badly within earshot for anyone to hear. We might whisper to each other, or talk badly in the dressing room, though. I don't think that looks as bad as trash talking another girl directly.

    Girls can be awful.

Something very similar happened to me. I know how that feels. I had a Willow too. It was as if her whole mission in life was to harass me every waking second of when I was in that club.

It was like my first week dancing, and I was banking every night, ya know making that newbie money....I was counting my $$ at the end of the night one time, and had just come off stage not too long before. I had a bunch of 1's in my g-string and one had somehow slipped down into my crotch area.
My "Willow", if you would, saw me pull it out. I started laughing with a friend of mine about it. She then yelled at the top of her lungs so the whole dressing room could hear: "Ewww....THIS NASTY BITCH KEEPS HER MONEY IN HER PUSSY!" then looks at me and goes "YOU'RE FUCKING NASTY!!!"

It only got worse from there. She even booed me, yelled nasty things and sat at the front of the stage and pointed, talked shit to a customer when I was doing a feature contest! At the end when everyone cheered and clapped all I could see was her at the front of the stage doing the "thumbs down" motion, yelling shit and flipping everyone off that was clapping for me! I ended up winning that contest but I'll admit I went to the back and cried after that. I wanted to strangle her. I would actually lay in bed and night and have fantasies about slashing her tires and beating her to a pulp.

    ^ same here.

I bet she was so pissed you won the contest. It's like "Why do you have a problem with me? Do I represent your faded youth and you resent me for it? I can't help it I'm young and fresh, and you're a washed up old whore"
