confessions of a go-go girl on lifetime? I've only seen like 10 minutes, but it seems quite...lifetime movie-esque (ie pretty offensive to women who choose to live outside the realm of normalcy)
lifetime really burns my toast. for women, my ass.

Yep I've seen it. The movie is a bunch of BS.

I know, right? I just finished it- I didn't even realize she wasn't even a stripper at first- just a bikini dancer!!
and I like how her dad was like "I bring clients in here!" double standards anyone?
God damn I hate lifetime.
I dont get why this girl cares so much and wants to recruit her. It seems so weird. Oh, Im watching it right now.
Ha ha, I've never made it through that whole thing.
Dating a drug dealer... getting into porn... it's happened to all of us!
Im so going to watch the whole thing... of course Im only 1/2 ass paying attention since Im on the interwebz.
It was sad when her "friend" died while getting the breast augmentation...
All in all, the movie was very stereotypical...
^ Sorry...![]()
It's ok. I love how she put her mom and dad in their place just now. Way to go!This movie is gold.
I gotta watch this.
I didn't finish it well maybe when it comes back on for the 500th time.
OMG shes a whole different person now that shes a *gasp* stripper! Oh noz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOL!!!She's all financially independent and empowered... OMG, what is the world coming to?!?!?!?
![]()
I like the part when she gave her parents back the deposit for school. The look on there faces priceless.
OK, I just watched it all the way through. Aww... she stopped being a bad girl and got her boyfriend back.Lame.
Are stripper's really bad girls

Nope, just independent girls.
And according to lifetime, independent = bad!!
Once, I watched a bunch of LT movies on sunday ("a perfect sunday" - c'mon ladies, I know I'm not the only one!)
anyway, after wasting my sunday, I got so pissed at the stereotypes and weak women in every. single. one. of their movies, I wrote them this 4 pg rant.
I never wound up sending it, but now I might- with some revisions...
^ I guess we as dancers are resistant to a lot of the influence society tries to exert over our behaviors and thoughts. If we weren't, we wouldn't do the job we do because it is SO looked down upon. Even what we hear isn't half of what non-industry people think of us.
So of course, a sexually liberated woman comfortable enough to dance naked (slut to them) would never have the presence of mind to manage herself well, because you have to be damaged and crzy to be a stripper to begin with![]()
The last time I had a "Lifetime Sunday" was in 2002. I drove 1,200 miles (both ways) without sleep because I found out my long distance (high school sweetheart of 4 years) boyfriend had gotten some girl pregnant (she called me to tell me all the wonderful details <sarcasm>). So, I drove to his place (600 miles away) (he didn't come home the whole night and he wasn't answering his cellphone) and sat in his living room waiting. So, at like 7am I searched his house up-and-down and found a disposable camera. I rushed to Walgreens (1 hour picture developing) and had the pictures developed. The camera was chock-full of naked pictures of the other girl. He finally came home (drunk as hell) at 11am. I showed him the pictures, got in my car, and drove back to my dorm. My roommate was concerned and was calling me every hour because she knew i had no sleep for over 36 hours, was hysterically crying, and was on the turnpike. 4 hours later, when I got back, she greeted me at the door with a Mike's Hard Lemonade and an invitation for a "Lifetime Sunday" fest. I obliged. I love her. That was when Lifetime used to seriously male-bash. They must have had a change in management because that channel is not like it used to be... Now it seems that the channel actually women-bashes....
^ jeez, THAT was a Lifetime move
Is it bad that our whole family watched it together?
We just laughed our asses off through the whole thing hehe

We are very bad, bad girls doncha know? WHEN WILL WE SEE THE LIGHT?!

Sirona, I wish I could do that! but the sad part is, when my parents found out I was dancing, they said almost EXACTLY what the movie parents said!
Honey- that sux! that guy sounds ass-tastic!
I didn't have cable back then, so I don't remember it, but I think if we looked up the producers of lifetime movies, there would be a change between 2002 and today...
