I’m one of those non-voters.
There is so much I disagree with about both parties I just can’t bring myself to vote for either one.
Bummer![]()

im not voting simply because im not electoral college and my vote doesnt count as much as it should. its a lie to us and im not partaking in it.

Me !! I have never voted ....I dont believe the system works .....my first election I could have voted in was in 2000 and we all remember how that went ......what a huge smack in the face ....yeah we dont care about your votes .....nice
on the other hand I would rather for local official , I think an individual vote means alot more in those elections .....
In Atlanta looking for a new place/club to call my own ... be back in Sarasota from time to time because I love the Cheetah xoxo

i can't vote for ron paul so i don't think i will be voting either.

A lot of people are abstaining from voting in the national elections. I don't put much value on those elections. But local elections and ballot measures/ initiatives are very important. There are some things on my local ballot that can make a huge difference on me and my community. That always gets my attention.
As strippers it is important to know what local lawmakers plan on doing to make your jobs harder or easier. Even if you are not interested in national politics, voting local can mean the difference between an anti-lap dancing law and keeping things the same or better where you work.
Promote yourself and earn more money! This is a business that is owned by strippers for strippers. Let's make that money!
Just a quick question, if you guys are unhappy with the current system, have you considered voting for a third party candidate?

im not. didn't even bother to register either. But since i live in california it doesnt really mater either way.
i def plan to vote but just a funny story: my boy is a libritarian but he got so sick of my arguing with him at every turn he said he'd vote for my candidate if i shut the fuck up till the election is over![]()

i typically vote third party. not sure where my vote is going this election, except not to mccain.
I do plan on voting, but I just wanted to say kudos to those of you who aren't. Granted, I don't believe that our votes count because the electoral college is going to place in office whomever they choose. If you have done the research and you agree with a particula candidate, by all means, make your voice heard, but if you haven't, awesome of you to step back and not vote blind!![]()
You guys are all awesome. I love SW
I, myself, am not registered to vote.
I made this decision back in college and continue to stick to my guns.
Unlike many other elections, I have been following this one rather closely. I'm pretty much on top of all of the issues. I avoid getting into political conversations because many people that vote get enraged when you mention you're not even registered.
I knew I wasn't the only one not voting in this election (thanks guys). It's just not something you can talk about with everyone.
P.S. I hope Obama wins.![]()

Why not vote? Go third-party if you want to go third-party. Please, just vote. Practice voting. The more people vote (esp the ones who typically are fed up with the 2-party system), the more people get used to exercising their voice, and the more chance we'll eventually get enough people to notice the 3rd party to make it a contest someday. BTW I understand the electoral college is bs.
Or at least get involved with local politics. Please.
If you don't vote/do something to participate in politics on at least a local level I think it's nonsense to go complaining about the state of affairs.
Part of my decision not to vote is because I really don’t believe what we are being told by the news media or the candidates themselves. So much BS I can’t tell when they are lying or telling the truth.

I vote even though I very disgusted by both candidates but like Paris mentions local elections are important to your community and your vote counts.
I feel voting is extremely important because for most of history FREEDOM and the right to have a say in our government is what wars were fought over and many people gave their lives so we could have the right to vote.
Look at the Women's suffrage movement that was less than a century ago, those women fought for the the womens right to vote! Don't let that be a waste!

I always vote however this years Pres race almost sickens me regardless I'm voting. There are many local props on the ballot that will effect me my family and neighbors so if I don't vote I can't complain about it.I have been to many city council meetings that had the public enraged and just showing up in large numbers made the problem go away,it's amazing!
Agree 100%!!!
This year in MA we have ballot initiative to remove the state income tax (Question #1), and also to change the possession of 1 oz or less of marijuana from a criminal offense to a civil fine (Question #2).
Granted if question #1 were to pass, I'm sure the politicians would just ignore it like the last time we elected to reduce the income tax rate; however, the local ballot questions are still very important.
In fact, I believe it was an interesting political tactic by the GOP to put the gay marriage issue on the local ballots of many swing states in the last election. The local ballot initiative really helped to motivate their base and thus resulted in a higher than normal voter turn out, which of couse led to additional votes for Bush.
If you can't win. Make the fellow in front of you break the record.
